Ladies and Gentleman,

The former website www.oldrepublicknights.com has been moved and we are now under the new location of the guild website. Unfortunately, not everyone had been keeping their contact details up to the date and has resulted us losing contact with them.

At the time of the transfer it was quite urgent and we needed to move the site to the new location urgently.

Despite of this, the guild will continue to move on and prosper on the near foreseeable future and we are hoping that whoever was a member of the ORK, Kotorforce or Kratycantina community would be able to get ahold of our friends and let them know we still exist today.

Guild News for the Month

As founder of Revanantz Forces guild clan it has been a steady ride so far, and it has been brought to my own attention that we are slowly rebuilding and getting back on track. We can safely say that our fun and time with World of Warcraft has been brought to a minimum and we are more focused on the Star Wars MMO. We can confirm that players are finding themselves enjoying this game a lot more nowadays but finding that the bugs and glitches on SWTOR at the moment disheartening at this point of time.

However, due to the nature of the situation Bioware and its development team are working with players feedback around the clock in attempt to fix majority of the glitches before the final release of patch version 1.1 but this has got us wondering will Bioware be able to resolve majority of these issues before the actual realease date. The guild is skeptical about the new patch, even though we are likely to enjoy the new content coming shortly with the rise of the Rakghouls and a new raid to have fun on.

In terms of the guild frontier, Revanantz Forces will be moving to the VORNSKR-US PVE Server after when guild transfers are made available on the game itself.

At this point of time though we understand that previously our plan was to join onto the same server, faction and have fun under the same guild. The members from WoW who were from Elysium have joined Spaceballz The Guild led by Hellbilly and since there has been more of a contraversary of which server we all should be under, its better that we play together on the same server in the long term.

Since Revanantz Forces guild is on the Masks of Nithilus at the moment, we will encourage people to keep leveling up on that server until the Guild Transfer petition is made available for us to make it happen in the near future. Revanantz Forces Guild will be moving to VORNSKR server eventually but we would highly recommend you to reserve your new or current character names there for the time being before the move is ready to be set into motion. Once the move has been complete, there will be no turning back.

As for the Sith Empire guild Elysium, we will acknowledge that we would be doing the same thing for our Republic Revanantz Forces guild as well too. So you should not worry about being on two servers.

Again ladies and gentleman we do thank you for your support and would like to see you on there with us having more fun, as for endgame content I am quite confident that everyone would get a chance with that in the near future. In the meantime, have fun leveling and questing, or PvPing, ultimately May the Force be with you!

Walkthrough: Flashpoint Taral V and Maelstrom PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Written by Revan Doyle

Previously awhile back we were talking about Revan and the Jedi Exile, about their fates and now players get their chance to experience the truth for themselves. The Battle of Taral V takes place where Republic soldiers get thier chance to rescue a Jedi Prisoner who had been imprisoned for 300 years.

The mission is risky, a group of Republic infiltrators must move in and get the coordinates of the Maelstrom Prison by apprehending a Greed computer device from Taral V. In doing so the team would have to fight their way through the Imperial and elite Sith troops guarding the fortress of Taral V before going to the Maelstrom Prison.

The mission begins where the Jedi Exile reveals herself to you and Admiral Odeo where you start discussing about the Jedi Prisoner, unfortunately you are unable to get the Jedi's name at that point and soon would realise the reason why. In an attempt of desperation, the strike team arrives on Taral V in this two part Flashpoint battle. After acquiring the computer device for the Republic fleet to navigate their way into the Maelstrom, the battle won't stop there until you save the Jedi Prisoner. The second part of the two part battle series is the Maelstrom Prison itself where Republic heroes get to fight their way to rescue the Jedi Prisoner.

Lets talk about Taral V. Taral V at this stage is a level 32 - 36 Flashipoint that players would get their hands onto a full on dungeon run that feels like a raid, consider that the Flashpoints of Taral V and Maelstrom Prison is your first hands on experience of getting close to raid awareness, players on the Republic side would have the opportunity to challenge themselves into handling a couple hour Flashpoint.

^ Imperial Shuttle leaving the Republic Cruiser Telos with the Republic members onboard

FLASHPOINT: TARAL V - The battle for the Jedi Prisoner begins here

Upon arrival, the Republic strike team would land on Taral V whereas the Empire believed that you are just another shuttle craft performing another shipment of supplies to the planet. The team would then fight their way through the native hositle creatures and Imperial soldiers along the way where the group is expeced to fight a couple boss fights along the way.

Prior to the difficulty from the BETA until now, players would still believe that Taral V had a lot more to offer in terms of gear drops and experience point raiting.

However we have noticed that Taral V ended up being a three hour instance at most when you have four people all around the same level between level 31 - 37. The group recommendation is that you must have at least 1 Tank, 2 DPS and a Healer, they don't have to be geared but you all must be skilled and become aware of when to interrupt mobs to either slow them down or stun them quickly.

We usuallly found it hard whenever trying to keep the enemy adds stunned or interrupted from summoning or casting deadly spells on the group itself. From experience we have experimented which combination of classes who should should be in the Flashpoint, however it comes down to how skilled and how well you work with other players.

The best combination we had been finding is having either a Jedi Guardian or Trooper Vanguard class tanking the instance. Jedi Guardians for most fights will definiately act like a Paladin class similarity to World of Warcraft it tems of the extensive trash pulls or boss fights that would require you to throw evey abiltiy you got to defend yourself but giving the healers enough chance to heal you as you pop up your interupts and absorption techniques. The Republic troopers Vanguard class still would pull it off as they had been helding onto their threat generation higher than the Jedi Guardian except they don't have much healing techniques like the Jedi Guardian would have.

The boss fights for the tanks in general heavily involve you and your teammates to either move around a lot, battle on to keep your threat up and defending others from being overwhelmed. In some fights you should be made aware that you should not have the boss or the elite adds facing towards the group.

On some elites or bosses they perform either cleave or AOE attack that hurts others around you within a radius. However in some of the fights that you will face, have either two or more elites that would be defending the boss and you would need to kill them rather quickly. The elites are tough to defeat, so its best to focus your fire on one target at a time until you kill that before moving onto the next. The Healers would have a hard time in these two operations considering how heal intensive they are in these fights are, although with that being said, your Tanks would need to be averagely geared but at least know when to pop their cooldowns when necessary.   thethe Tanks

Anyhow, the bottom line with these fights teaches players on how to become more raid awareness, or so we are led to believe and hope that is the case.

Not all the tash mobs are easy to handle, but try to stun, interrupt or use whatever Force abilities that you have in the group to kill them rather quickly. Most of the trash mobs are pretty easy in Taral V, except maybe the Sith Warriors, Acrolytes, Apprentices or Sith Lords that you would have to fight off here and there. AOE attacks works effectively on some fights but mostly good for pulling trash mobs, however we did find that single target abilities work more effectively when trying to kill a certain target rather quickly.

The gear drops in this place are fantastic for level 31 - 37 range, and its a good way for you to become quite ready for the continuation Flashpoint, Maelstrom Prison as well.

Players can enter into Taral V at level 30 to meet the minimum requirement however your experience within this Flashpoint would be quite rough on you.

The last part of the flashpoint involves you to confront well skilled boss fight that can take up to maybe fifteen minutes for a standard group. The best hint tip we can give you is to destroy the four canons first, then engage the boss. When the adds come out, break off from the boss and have your tank taunt team real quick. Quickly AOE or single target each add before attacking the boss again and rinse and repeat it until the boss is defeated.

Enjoy the last moments of Taral V where you fight off a small group of adds on the top platorm before confronting a civilian that would give you a decision making dialogue that you could choose from, once you have the Greed computer you have completed Taral V and you would need to get out of the fortress bombarded by the Sith fleet alive.

Next we have the more challenging flashpoint of this, the Maelstrom Prison. In which I could discribe it further...

New Years Resolutions PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Written by Revan Doyle
Thursday, 05 January 2012 01:00

First off let us welcome you back into the year 2012, the year of the Dragon has fallen upon us all.

So here we are folks back into the grind of another year that is slowly dawning and we are not sure what is going right now, we have many plans in mind and I believe that in terms of our own guilds here we share the common thing to look at ways of doing future raids in the near future.

I thought to throw in the title "New Years Resolutions" to get you all thinking and wondering what the combined guilds of Elysium, Killer Inc and Spaceballz guild had come up with and thus brought it before to the table of Revanantz Forces guild.

As you know the forums are quiet and the community is silent, dormant and waiting for new things to talk about or even merely discuss about future ingame content and perhaps resuming the onboard roleplaying as of late. Well the community was large and is now small, majority of which those people who have chosen to stay and visit would more or less participate whenever they feel like it.

So... Where does Revanantz Forces guild say for their own New Years Resolutions?

Ladies and Gentleman,

The Revanantz Forces guild are always potentially looking for new guild members that would help us either in the short or long term goals. Proactively the guild is having fun questing and doing random Flashpoint dungeons as either a group or working with other players on different servers looking for new members all the time.

I would like to mention that during throughout the BETA program, we really enjoyed having fun with other players from all over the globe who were able to help us make the game whole and make the game as it is today. No doubt the vanilla version of Star Wars The Old Republic (SWTOR) has a few glitches and bugs here and there but like all MMO games that I have played from the beginning infant stages, we all start off from somewhere. The good thing about this game is that you will find noobish players both young and old would be playing this game for the following reasons...

"Its Star Wars!"
"We want to see what happens with the other characters from the Knights of the Old Republic era"
"Revan is back!"
"I want to play the Sith Empire!"
"I want to be a trooper on the Republic!"
"I want something different from the other games I've played"
"I'm getting bored with World of Warcraft and want to try something new"

And much more simplistic comments like that my friends have either sparked the whole contraversy of why we want something that is either new, exciting but different to the other online games we have played for. I will admit, last time when the WoW guild Elysium from Silvermoon server tried to break away from World of Warcraft was to try out the brand new MMO game called RIFT. Even though this had partially succeeded in a way to try out the game for at least two weeks but this had backfired for future intensions of leaving an MMO that we had known for a very long time and go back to starting fresh with similar characters and classes that we know but we find it with better graphics. However it was good to try it out but we were disappointed with the overal game experience.

Meetra Surik (The Jedi Exile) PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Written by Revan Doyle

The Jedi Exile is the protagonist of the Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, and a character that did much to change the face of the Star Wars galaxy. When she was still a youngling, training at the Jedi Academy on Dantooine, she had a very unique ability for making strong connections in the Force, causing her to be a natural leader, and also creating conflict with other students regularly. Her abilities were often noticed, commended, and even scorned by her masters, but she was nonetheless taken as an informal padawan by Master Kavar, prior to the Mandalorian Wars. The Jedi Exile was also mentioned in the upcoming Star Wars The Old Republic MMO where her name is revealed as Meetra Surik.

Mandalorian Wars – Rebellion and Exile

Like other young Jedi, the Exile defied the Council’s stance of complacency and reflection, leaving the Order to serve the Republic in the Mandalorian Wars as a Revanchist, fighting in many major battles as one of Revan’s most trusted Generals, including the Battle for Dxun and the Battle of Dagary Minor. She commanded a fleet of warships at the battle above Malachor V, the final battle of the Mandalorian Wars. When all seemed lost, and the last Mandalorian fleet began driving back Republic forces, the Jedi Exile commanded the use of the Mass Shadow Generator, tearing the moon apart and destroying both fleets in the process. Unable to face the pain and death she had created, the Exile cut herself off from the Force, more completely and utterly than any other character known to Star Wars canon, creating a wound, an echo in the Force itself, around her. After Malachor V, she returned to the Council to face judgment, and was exiled beyond the Outer Rim, where she travelled for nearly ten years before returning to known space, as orchestrated secretly by Jedi Master Atris.

Peragus II – The New Sith Threat

Finding the galaxy in turmoil and the Republic on the brink of collapse following the Jedi Civil War, the Exile allied herself with the mysterious and powerful Kreia on the abandoned mining facility orbiting Peragus, becoming her apprentice after re-establishing her connection to the Force; and with the help of the imprisoned scoundrel Atton Rand, she managed to discover the doom of the mining crew at the hands of an assassin droid, as well as the fate of the Harbinger, the Republic vessel that had been on a course for Telos IV with the Jedi Exile before it was boarded by cloaked Sith Assassins and their master, Darth Sion. Kreia later revealed that these Sith wished to extinguish the life of the last of the Jedi, which they believed the Exile to be. Fighting through the combined forces of reprogrammed mining droids and Sith Assassins, the trio, along with astromech droid T3-M4, boarded the Ebon Hawk and escaped the destruction of the entire planet when the Harbinger fired on fuel-rich asteroids around the facility. Following the devastation, the Exile and Kreia discussed their newly-discovered bond through the Force, the possibilities of both dying should one of them die, and decided to seek out the Jedi Masters for their assistance in defeating the new Sith threat that now plagued the Galaxy, and possibly find a way to end the link between them.

Telos IV – Confronting the Past

Following her arrival on Telos IV, the Jedi Exile endured a short house arrest by order of the Telos Security Force (TSF) while they investigated the destruction of Peragus and awaited the Republic Vessel Sojourn. It was not long, however, before she discovered Chodo Habat, leader of the Ithorian restoration effort on Telos, offering her services in thwarting Czerka. With his help, the group escaped the station in search of the now-missing Ebon Hawk to make haste off-planet. After crash-landing in a restoration zone, reuniting and teaming up with the creator of the Mass Shadow Generator, Bao Dur, and fighting through throngs of mercenaries to a second shuttle, the group again crash landed on a plateau in the polar region. There they faced more assassin droids and were then accosted by the guards of a Jedi Academy within the plateau, the base of operations for Jedi Master Atris, the last of the Jedi in the traditional sense. Subsequent to a heated discussion about their shared past, Atris and the Jedi Exile agreed to work together to bring the Jedi Masters together for a conclave on Dantooine, where they could begin to address the Sith threat that had now revealed itself. Upon reclaiming the Ebon Hawk and droid that had been taken from her by Atris, the Exile and her crew left Telos with a list of Jedi Masters and their last known whereabouts, sending them on a journey throughout the Outer Rim, searching for answers and assistance in combating the new danger to the Galaxy.

Nar Shadaa – Exchange Business

Though her past was marked with atrocities, the Jedi Exile did much good as she waged war against the hidden darkness and found Jedi Masters all across the Galaxy. On Nar Shadaa, she freed helpless refugees from the iron grip of the Exchange, became noticed by powerful people on the Smuggler’s moon, and was invited to a private meeting with Visquis, an Exchange Boss in charge of the Refugee Sector of Nar Shadaa. The Exile chose to attend in order to find and stop the large bounty on her head, despite the clear and present danger, but was intercepted by a Bounty Hunter named Mira on her way to the Jekk’Jekk Tar. After speaking with her for a short time, Mira drugged the Exile and absconded with her environmental suit into the deadly bar, and met with Visquis herself, and was consequently captured. The Exile soon awoke from her torpor after being told by one of the Masters she pursued, Zez-Kai Ell, to follow him, while she was still paralyzed. Following the advice of the strange Jedi, the Exile entered the Jekk’Jekk Tar without a suit, sustaining herself with the Force, and fought through the occupants of the bar to find Visquis, who had narrowly escaped through the maze of tunnels into his hidden fortress.

After again fighting her way through Ubese Bounty Hunters, the Exile confronted Visquis, who attempted to capture her to get close enough to Goto, in order to kill him. Goto turned the tables on the scheme, however, by revealing his control over the fortress and Ubese guards, and killing Visquis shortly before he electrocuted the Exile unconscious, transporting her to his Yacht orbiting the moon. When the Exile was revived from yet another forced indolence, G0-T0 revealed himself as the individual who had put out the bounty for Jedi, then proceeded to request the Exile’s cooperation in helping to “fix” the galaxy. She agreed to the proposal, but was not to be allowed to leave, until two members of her crew boarded the vessel and helped to destroy it, after which the Exile gained G0-T0’s droid as a companion, along with Mira, and met with Zez-Kai Ell, who agreed to meet the other Jedi on Dantooine.

Dantooine – Old Wounds

When the Exile arrived on Dantooine, she was immediately avoided, and often openly scorned, for her former status as a Jedi. Though the people of Khoonda seemed rather averse to her arrival, Administrator Adare treated the Exile as an honoured guest, and asked for her assistance in finding the whereabouts of the Jedi Master Vrook by investigating the sublevels of the Jedi Enclave’s ruins. Upon entering the ruins, the Exile uncovered evidence suggesting foul play from the Mercenaries involving Vrook, and teamed up with Mical, a former prospective padawan that had now become historian for the Republic. Following an instructional datapad on a mercenary’s body, the Exile entered a local cave, and found the Mercenaries holding the illusive Master in a force cage. Once she had freed the cantankerous old Jedi, the Exile was scolded for impulsive behavior in thwarting what might have been the only chance of averting a full-scale conflict between the Khoonda administration, and Azkul, the leader of the Mercenaries. Returning to Khoonda, the Exile bolstered defenses around the compound in preparation for an attack, and managed to push back and defeat the mercenary invaders, preserving the life of Adare, and earning herself an audience with Vrook, who, after a long discussion, conceited to meet with the other Jedi when they arrived.

Onderon and Dxun – Old Enemies, New Allies, and Political Turmoil

Dropping out of hyperspace into an orbital blockade around Onderon, the Exile found herself in the center of a hornet’s nest of political conflict. Military fighters commanded under General Valku of the Onderon Royal guard attacked the Ebon Hawk, forcing its crew to land on Dxun, a moon of Onderon, and the staging area of the Mandalorian Crusade against the Republic. Soon after meeting a new Mandalore, and his effort to revive the Mandalorian army, and securing herself a place among their ranks as a honourary Mandalorian, the Exile was given passage with Mandalore around the blockade to Iziz, where they planned to meet a Dagon Ghent, a doctor with connections inside the palace that could get a message to Jedi Master Kavar. Much to their dismay, however, Ghent was caught in an investigation into the murder of an officer of the Onderon military: as the prime suspect. Following the clearing of Dagon’s good name, and securing his encrypted holodiscs, the Exile managed to get a message to Kavar, and met with him in the local Cantina. The meeting was violently interrupted, however, by Vaklu’s right hand, Colonel Tobin, before anything relevant could be said. Fleeing from the imminent commencement of War in Iziz, the group battled their way through Vaklu soldiers to the star port, where they quickly returned to Dxun. Mandalore chose to accompany the Exile on her journeys through the Outer Rim, and instructed his second in command, Kelborn, to send word when it was safe to again attempt to rendezvous with Kavar.

SWTOR HAS BEEN LAUNCHED PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Written by Revan Doyle
Wednesday, 14 December 2011 03:17

Officially on December 13th 2011, the Early Game Access for SWTOR fans has finally been released. It gives us distinct previllege that the game has finally been made known at long last, people believe that this MMO is one of the greatest games that has been anticipated for a very long time. In fact some would say that this game could have been best described as the new rival to World of Warcraft.

We have been planning and waiting for this when the game was announced. The SWTOR Beta program probably went for at least two years, funnily enough we have many members from this guild who were on it for awhile without realising it.

After the BETA test weekends had been and gone, majority of the members from the former guild of Elysium and other WoW guilds that we know have joined Revanantz Forces. The good news for you all is that players who still play WoW are not left out at the moment, however with the current direction that World of Warcraft is heading. A lot of players are disgusted with the sudden change and direction that Blizzard is making, so we have decided to revise our own thinking about whether we want to play WoW casually and convert ourselves into Star Wars The Old Republic more often.

As of 16th December 2011, Revan has formed two guilds on the new Star Wars MMO game. The guild names are Revanantz Forces (Republic) and Elysium (Sith Empire). As we have been patiently working towards makng the guild grow and getting it all sorted, this is only the beginning stages for us to get the look and feel for the game.

NOW THE OFFICAL DECISION! THE WAIT IS OVER!

Grand Master Jedi Krurin Masaror confronting the Sith

The official decision has been made, as of 20th December 2011 on the official launch day! That the guild Revanantz Forces and Elysium would be located on the following servers...

MASK OF NITHILUS

VORNSKR

They are PVE Servers and we are going to be forming a guild there. Here is the information you need to know where our guilds are.

On the Republic side we have, Revanantz Forces and Spaceballz The Guild located on the Vornskr server.

Of course for those who love the Sith Empire have Elysium on the Mask of Nithilus and Revanantz Forces guild on Vornskr

Note: The guilds would be run and maintained by those who would be playing the game often and they are in it just for fun. We would be on both servers just in case when launch week comes out we have something to play with whenever the server crashes or queues are too long and so forth Note: Both guilds would be on this server, however we encourage all members to treat the jump on and lets go forth and play Star Wars!

Jedi Knights - Choosing their path

Guild Leader for Revanantz Forces and Elysium is Satelerevan or Krurin Masaror

Officers for the Republic for Revanantz Forces: Jazzy, Lee, Karadra, Celron, Bonkers
Officers for the Sith Empire: TBA

Guild Leader for Spaceballs The Guild is run by Hellbilly

I know that some of you have already created characters and started leveling on another server already, I do understand why but I have no harsh feelings on the matter cause this truly has been a great opportunity for Early Game Access opportunity. I want to formerly say thank you to you all for your ongoing suport and friendship over the years.

In the last 7 years that I have spent waiting for this game to be release is now finally becoming a reality! BIOWARE YOU HAVE EARNED IT!

My thanks go to those who introduced World of Warcraft, and made a lot of friendships left and right, they have been well worth it and no matter what the future holds my friendships with you guys will never fade as I would try to keep in touch with you always. You do not need to be a fan of Star Wars to join in the fun, in truth you are here to have fun and enjoy yourselves.

May the Force be with us always and let us welcome the new Star Wars MMO! Let the WAR BEGIN!
