Somewhere deep in hyperspace the Endar Spire commandeered by Bastila and Carth were about to arrive in the area. A few minutes later had passed as the Endar Spire had automatically jumped out of hyperspace and brought itself back to sub-light engines. The Endar Spire had arrived in the Taris System as expected.

On the command deck of the Endar Spire, Carth looked at Bastila as he walked over and informed his commanding officer that they had arrived in the Taris system as ordered. Bastila looked at Carth with a smile on her face and nodded, she then walked out of the bridge command deck to her quarters where shed ran into some of her Jedi members.

Bastila stood there and informed her Jedi Knights the situation at hand and why they have travelled to the Taris System. A few hours later, Bastila was fast asleep in her quarters and two of her closest Jedi guards stood outside her room. Krurin was patrolling down back and forth along the corridor, level by level and passed Bastila’s quarters momentarily.

An hour later had passed where Krurin was relieved off duty from his long daily shift and returned back to his quarters. Trask had taken over Krurin’s patrol duty for the night, while Krurin Masaror felt pretty exhausted from his long shift he’d dropped all his gear into his equipment box and locked it tight, and then he’d walked over to his bed and lay on his backside forcing himself to sleep.

Another hour later had passed as Krurin was fast asleep in his quarters. Further above him, Bastila and the other Jedi Knights who were sleeping awoke unexpectedly as they had felt a dark side tremor in the Force. The dark presence of the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, Darth Malak.

Carth was at the bridge helm commanding the Endar Spire, he ordered the Endar Spire to head for the planet Taris they would stop over and investigate to determine whether there was any Sith activity in the area or not. Suddenly the Endar Spire’s sensors had gone berserk, Carth looked at his tactical officer and saw the reaction of his trusted crew member that something big has happened, something unexpected.

“Sir we are getting unusual readings at sector 32 marked 315 alpha 4,” said the tactical officer.

“I need more specific information,” Carth replied objectively.

“It’s a Sith warship!” said the stunned tactical officer.

            “What? How?” Carth asked.

“I don’t know sir, but whatever Bastila had said to you about those Sith rumours, I believe they are true,” remarked the tactical officer.

“Damn,” Carth shouted. “All hands to battle stations!”

After that split moment, Carth was filled with such anxiety as he looked forward to another great challenge had come at long last. He was feeling quite anxious to test his new ship against a Sith warship but what he did not know was that there was more than one Sith warship out there.

Along the far distance behind the dreaded Republic cruiser was the Sith flagship called the ‘Leviathan’, an Interdictor warship. Commandeering the Leviathan was Carth’s old mentor, Saul Karath who had betrayed the Republic and had become the right hand man of the ruthless Darth Malak. Onboard the bridge deck of Sith flagship, Admiral Karath was standing at the helm commandeering the crew to intercept the Endar Spire.

“Lord Malak, we have a Republic vessel entered the Taris system,” said Karath formally.

“Have you identified the Republic vessel yet Admiral?” Malak asked coldly.

“It’s a Republic cruiser,” Karath replied. “Perhaps it’s an expedition ship?”

The Dark Lord of the Sith soon felt a the tremor in the Force had grown stronger, the presence of two powerful Jedi Knights and along with some other Jedi Knights with a lower power level. Malak soon sensed the presence of his foe, Bastila Shan had arrived as he anticipated.

Then the Dark Lord had sensed another strong power source nearby, it felt like the presence of his former master but it was strangely different as he’d felt it, the portion of the dark side was inside the individual as he sensed it. He thought to himself for a moment that it was possible that his former master had been brought back to life. Malak sniggered and made a cold laugh, “Perfect it is Bastila and my old master Revan,” Malak said coldly.

Malak had walked out of his dark chamber and made his way to the bridge deck. The bridge command deck door had opened before him where Admiral Karath was standing firmly at the front of command deck. Malak had made his approach, the presence of the hissing sound from the Dark Lord’s metallic faceplate echoed throughout the whole bridge deck, soon Admiral Karath heard Malak was closely behind him and he turned around.

“Lord Malak, we have identified the Republic cruiser as the Endar Spire,” Karath said confidently.

“Excellent Admiral,” Malak grinned. “Call in the fleet to blockade the planet of Taris.”

“What of the Endar Spire?” Karath asked.

“Remember the plan Admiral, plot our ship on an intercept course and send in our Sith Interceptors to destroy the ship immediately,” Malak ordered.

“As you wish Lord Malak,” Karath nodded.

Admiral Karath walked over to his trusty communication officer, the Sith lieutenant looked at him. Karath whispered Lord Malak’s order to the communications officer, within seconds the message had been spread to the nearby Sith fleet hidden on the other side of the Taris system.

A devious thought had come across to the Dark Lord’s mind, send in his elite Dark Jedi against Bastila and terminate her life. The Dark Lord laughed coldly as he’d liked the sound of his devious plan, he looked ahead of the command deck as he watched the Sith Interceptors roared towards the dreaded Republic cruiser.

            “Admiral,” Malak said coldly.

“Yes my lord,” Karath responded anxiously.

“Tell my apprentice Darth Bandon to assemble and invade the Endar Spire as soon as possible,” Malak ordered.

“As you command Lord Malak,” Karath replied gladly.

The defiant Admiral relayed the Dark Lord’s command to his communications officer again, within minutes a transmission was sent to Darth Bandon. The Dark Lord’s finest apprentice was anxious to get into action and teach the Republic soldiers a lesson, especially the Jedi Knights.

Darth Bandon had assembled a strike team momentarily, comprised with both Sith troopers and a few elite Dark Jedi Knights assigned under his command. Soon afterwards in the Leviathan’s hangar bay, Darth Bandon and his elite strike team were on a transport as they made their way to the Endar Spire where they’d prepared to infiltrate the ship.

The attack on the Endar Spire had begun high above the planet Taris the Sith Interceptors had engaged the Republic cruiser at a fast rapid pace. A few Republic fighters were scrambled from the Endar Spire’s hangar bay as they’d fought gallantly against the overwhelming Sith resistance.

Bastila Shan was in her quarters knelt down on the floor, where’d she tried to summon her hidden ability of the Force, her Battle Meditation skill. Despite the ongoing Sith onslaught, Bastila desperately tried to focus and literally pushed herself overboard to summon her Battle Meditation ability.

Her Force power started to conjure a little where only a small group of Sith fighters outside the Endar Spire were affected as they’d drifted away. At that moment it had appeared that Bastila’s skill was working into the Republic’s favour. Until suddenly another explosion had rocked inside the ship that caused the stubborn Jedi to abandon her Battle Meditation skill.

Then Bastila heard Carth’s voice over the intercom where his voice had shown the sign of a plea, “Bastila get out of there, the Endar Spire has been infiltrated with a Sith boarding party,” Carth shouted.

“Damn it my Battle Meditation skills has taken a toll of my Force powers,” Bastila remarked. “I must escape for the Republic’s sake.”

Bastila quickly then stood up, grabbed her lightsaber and rushed out her quarters where she saw a battle inside the Endar Spire corridor between some Republic soldiers and Sith, along with two of her Jedi team fighting against a couple of dark Jedi Knights. Bastila then quickly fled to the escape pods via through the bridge deck.

While not so far away, the Dark Lord of the Sith was intrigued by this sudden development. The same power he’d felt before his master died, suddenly a flicker had sparked the Dark Lord’s mind where he remembered that the Jedi had used this tactic to infiltrate Darth Revan’s command ship.

“Lord Malak,” Karath interrupted. “Our fighters have reported that they were experiencing navigational problems.”

“It’s Bastila and her intriguing ability in the Force,” Malak told him.

“I don’t understand Lord Malak,” Karath frowned.

“Bastila has a Force power that is very rare, even for a Sith or Jedi to have,” Malak said coldly. “And that ability of hers would work to our advantage.”

“What was she using against us?” Karath asked. “Maybe we can -.”

“Bastila has mastered the skill of Battle Meditation,” Malak hissed. “Our forces remain vulnerable to that kind of ability but I sense that ship’s turbo lasers had made her stopped using her Battle Meditation. In future Admiral Karath, we should revise our strategy and use a distraction where Bastila would have no choice except to flea.”

“That plan would have worked had we already known she was onboard,” Karath nodded. “You did know that she was onboard already and hadn’t told me yet.”

“Admiral you are testing my patience with you,” Malak snarled. “Don’t make the same mistake like how I dismissed your predecessor.”

Karath frowned from the Dark Lord’s cold speech and then nodded reluctantly as he’d watched the battle quickly was drawing to its end. In the heat of the battle, Darth Bandon’s transport had docked on the outer hull of the Endar Spire, where the Dark Lord’s finest apprentice had made his entrance where they had successfully infiltrated the Endar Spire.

“Darth Bandon and his team have infiltrated the Endar Spire,” Karath said firmly.

“Excellent,” Malak laughed. “That is all the distraction we need.”

“Admiral, we are in attack range now sir,” said the communications officer.

“Open fire,” Karath ordered.

The Leviathan’s large turret guns pointed towards the Endar Spire and opened fire. There large red bolt lasers had penetrated the Endar Spire’s rear shields, as the lasers had impacted the Republic cruiser’s outer hull, the ship was rocked and shaken around. The Sith Interceptors had resumed their attack and crippled the Endar Spire’s engines that forced the ship without any navigation ability.

Meanwhile onboard the crippled Endar Spire, Carth Onasi was at the bridge helm where he stood up and had ordered his crew to abandon ship. While further down the decks below him, inside Bastila’s quarters, Bastila had felt her power drained her down to her last legs. She woke up and stopped her Battle Meditation where shed quickly stood up and made haste out of her quarters.

At that moment the journey of Krurin Masaror was embarked with a sudden shock of tyranny and chaos, a welcomed greeting from the Sith. Three decks below on the Endar Spire, Krurin Masaror awoke from the sudden attack. He had opened his eyes and heard the rumbling sound all over the ship, he was astonished and surprised what was going on.

He stood up for a moment then suddenly the ship shook and had knocked him to the ground and knocked his head at the same time. He slowly stood up and scratched his head as he looked out the window where he saw a battle in progress with several Sith and Republic fighters blasting at each other. Suddenly he heard someone had entered his quarters, it was his bunk mate Trask.

“Quickly, we are attacked by a Sith battle fleet, everyone has been ordered to head for the escape pods,” Trask said firmly.

“Who are you?” Krurin asked.

“I’m Trask Ulgo, an ensign of the Republic fleet who recruited you earlier,” Trask reminded him. “I’m your bunk mate on the Endar Spire, I believe that we work on opposite shifts. I guess that’s why we haven’t seen each other that much.”

“Right now I remember,” Krurin nodded. “What is the situation?”

“Hurry up Krurin, we have to find and assist Bastila! We have to ensure that she makes it off alive,” Trask ordered.

“I forgot who Bastila is,” Krurin frowned, he scratched his bumped head.

“Bastila is our commanding officer of the Endar Spire,” Trask reminded him. “One of duties as a soldier is to guarantee her survival in the event of an enemy attack. You swore an oath just like anybody else on this mission and now its time for us to fulfil that oath!”

Krurin stood there for a moment as he’d walked over to his equipment box and opened it, then the determined soldier had equipped himself with his blaster rifle, vibroblade and his combat armour. There was a short pause as Trask walked over to the window and watched the fire fight outside had gone even more intense.

“I’ve heard about your reputation, excellent military records with incredible skills and recommendations, elite combat training was tops of your class. No wonder a person like you with your skill is hand picked for this mission,” Trask said confidently. “Rumour has it that none of us Republic officers have seen such a recruit of your kind over twenty years at least, but all that potential you have doesn’t mean a thing if you can’t deliver where it counts most! Remember Krurin that we’re soldiers trained for combat, Bastila is going to need men and woman liked us at her side during this attack.”

“You’ve got me convinced, let’s find Bastila,” Krurin replied anxiously.

“We should stay together and fight our way to the bridge,” Trask suggested. “Because of the security lockdown, all the doors have been locked. Only I know the access codes. Get your belongings, I will open the doors for you and keep you head down.”

Krurin and Trask had rushed out their quarters and ran down the corridor pass a mechanical droid who was fixing the power conduit. The explosions of the ship echoed all over the ship as the two weary soldiers were determined enough to save their commanding officer’s life. Suddenly both Trask and Krurin’s personal communicators had gone off, it was Carth Onasi.

“This is Carth Onasi,” Carth said firmly. “The Sith are threatening to overwhelm our position and we can’t hold out much longer against their kind of firepower! All hands to the bridge!”

Krurin glanced at Trask briefly where he saw Trask frowned at the situation after the com-link had been terminated, serveral explosions could be heard as the Republic warship was getting a pounding of its life from the Sith Interceptors and the incoming Sith fleet not far behind them. Krurin and Trask were shaken by each explosion on the ship but the two men stood their ground and continued to make their own way as Trask explained the young soldier the situation.

“That was Carth contacting us on our portable communicators,” Trask remarked. “He’s one of the best Republic pilots we have. He has seen more combat than the rest of the Endar Spire’s crew put together. If he says that things are bad, you better believe it. We have to hurry and protect Bastila while we still can.”

Krurin and Trask continued their rush towards the next security door. They’d reached the door and Trask had used his security code to open it. The doors had flung wide opened where Krurin and Trask had run themselves into a fire fight between a couple Republic soldiers attacking against a small group of Sith soldiers.

“Watch out! Sith troopers Krurin,” Trask warned. “These must be part of the boarding party, for the Republic!”

Krurin had pulled out his vibroblade and fought against one of the Sith troopers in a duel as Trask ripped out his blaster rifle and fired it repetitively at the other Sith trooper. The far distanced Sith trooper had died on impact instantly while Krurin twisted and fainted his vibroblade against the first Sith Trooper.

The Sith trooper tried to do a flurry against the skilled Republic solider but Krurin jerked back and avoided any swift strikes his opponent chucked at him. Then Krurin had lashed out with his flurry attack, where he twirled his vibroblade four times swiftly and knocked the Sith trooper back to the ground and killed him.

Trask looked at Krurin firmly and noticed that they both needed some healing, he’d pulled out a medical pad and quickly patched up a cut on his companions left shoulder. Krurin quickly walked on ahead as Trask patched himself up, as Krurin had gotten closer to the entrance he heard the sound of two lightsabers clashed together and the grunting noise of a male and female fighting on the other side of the door.

“I hear something behind here,” Krurin muttered.

Trask had entered his security code again, the door had opened and there in front of them were two Jedi Knights fighting against each other in a duel. Krurin quickly recognised the female Jedi Knight, it was one of Bastila’s guards who were standing outside her quarters when he did his patrol on that night. The male fighter was a silver and black dark clothed dark Jedi.

“Look out it’s a dark Jedi!” Trask exclaimed. “This fight is too much for us to handle, all we do is get in our Jedi companion’s way.”

The two Jedi had fought against each other gallantly as Trask and Krurin watched them deal with the situation. The two Jedi had twisted and fainted their lightsabers back and forth, the female Jedi held her blue topaz lightsaber in the air and blocked every Dark Jedi’s attack.

The Dark Jedi lashed out at her with a few sidekicks in the air but the focused female Jedi had avoided the Dark Jedi’s move. Then at a spilt moment, the Dark Jedi defence was caught off guard then the female Jedi had lashed out her flurry attack and then delivered a hard chop across to the left, where her lightsaber blade had touched the body of the dark Jedi and her opponent had collapsed.

Shed wielded her lightsaber at her attack stance for bit longer as see saw two Sith soldiers had come around the corner. Suddenly something unexpected happened where another explosion had rocked inside the ship with a big explosion that blinded Krurin and Trask’s eyes momentarily. The blast had knocked their Jedi companion out cold, and then Krurin had noticed two Sith troopers stood over top the dead Jedi’s.

“That was one of Bastila’s Jedi guards Trask,” Krurin exclaimed. “Damn we could have used her help!”

Trask charged in towards the two Sith soldiers and held out his blaster rifle and quickly killed them both. Krurin stood there astonished how Trask was outraged, yet the feeling was mutual. He then searched through the female Jedi and grabbed her lightsaber.

The bridge deck was close nearby, Trask looked at Krurin and had taken the lead as he’d ran to the bridge door entrance. Krurin ripped out his vibroblade and waited for his friend to open the doors. The bridge doors had flung wide open where they saw Republic and Sith troopers fighting against each other.

Krurin looked at Trask and signalled him to intervene. They’d charged in towards the Sith troopers and killed the two that were standing closest to the door. Suddenly several shockwaves ravelled all over the ship, Krurin and Trask stood back in the nick of time where they’d witnessed the three Republic soldiers that were fighting against the three Sith troopers had died all in an instant from a massive explosion.

With the sudden disappointment on Trask’s face, he soon realised that it was possible that the Sith had overwhelmed their position and Bastila was in the middle of escaping the ship at the time. His mind soon pointed his finger to one possibility, Bastila, Carth and the others had retreated back to the escape pods, and he looked at Krurin and informed him.

“Bastila is not on the bridge?” Trask said doubtfully. “There is only one place they could have gone and that is the escape pods, we should head that way ourselves.”

“Obviously,” Krurin remarked. “From what I have observed, that these Sith want Bastila captured alive but since she has left the bridge, it could be possible that she has made it to the escape pod and gone to Taris.”

“Whatever the reason, we should get going,” Trask reminded him. “If Bastila as you say that she might have already left off the ship, there will be nothing stopping the Sith from blasting the Endar Spire into galactic dust.”

Krurin nodded and walked over to the next door, Trask then had pressed the door where it opened and there was corridor that leads to two separate directions. Ahead of them was a door rumbling and onto their left, was the starboard exit door that leads to a shortcut to another section of escape pods.

Suddenly Krurin had heard something rattle on the other side of the door ahead of them, he held his vibroblade firmly as Trask had pulled out his vibroblade and started entering his security code.

“Did you hear something behind that door Trask?” Krurin asked.

“Maybe,” Trask replied honestly.

As Trask continued trying to enter his security code, he heard something was indeed behind the cortosis sealed door. He look in a bit further and sound realised that they we not alone, the door had opened and there was a Dark Jedi, Darth Malak’s apprentice Darth Bandon stood there and made his approach.

“There is something behind this door,” Trask said nervously.

Trask held his vibroblade on his right hand firmed as he confronted Darth Bandon, the evil dark apprentice had pulled out his double bladed red lightsaber and ignited it. Trask soon realised that Krurin needed to escape alive, with a few seconds to spare Trask ordered his companion to go on without him, a sacrifice worth dying for.

“Blasted it’s another Dark Jedi!” Trask shouted. “Take the starboard exit and get out of here Krurin, I’ll hold him off. You must reach Carth and get to escape pods, go!”

Before Krurin could have said anything, Trask had walked inside the room through the cortosis doors. Krurin shocked and astonished, helplessly watched the last moments of his companion had walked into a death trap and confronted the dark Jedi head on as the cortosis doors slammed shut behind him.

The emotions imbedded inside Krurin were mixed, he ran towards the door in front of him and slammed his fist repeatedly, and he cursed and swore aloud demanding he should help his companion against the dark Jedi but it was too late for him. Krurin heard a scream on the other side of the door and heard a loud thump on the door, then the sound of a lightsaber retrenched followed with the cold dark laugh of the dark Jedi.

Despite Trask’s ultimate sacrifice, Krurin reluctantly had no choice but to continue his journey on without his friend there to guide him. The thought of avenging the death of his friend had skittled across his mind at first but the tensed emotion of excitement and despair had caused Krurin to go quite frantic.

“Trask, I’ll avenge your death my friend,” Krurin said coldly. “I swear whoever that Dark Jedi was, will pay for it.”

The weary soldier looked at the starboard door exit and ran through it. He made his way through to the escape pods, but along the way Krurin had found himself into some more trouble where he was confronted by some Sith troopers. He quickly grabbed two grenades and chucked them at the Sith troopers, within second the explosion had knocked the Sith soldier’s cold. Krurin panted heavily as he took several breaths then suddenly his personal communicator had gone berserk again, it was Carth again, communicating with him.

“This is Carth Onasi on your personal communicator. Thank heavens I still have enough power to track your position through the remains of this ship’s life support systems,” Carth said firmly. “Bastila’s escape pod is away and you’re the last surviving crew member on the Endar Spire. I can’t wait for you much longer… you must get to the escape pods!”

“On my way,” Krurin acknowledged.

He ran down the corridor, through five more doors then he found two Sith troopers near a control panel that leads to the escape pods. The Sith troopers recognised the intruder and had pulled out their blasters and fired away. Krurin quickly dodged the incoming laser bolts and slammed his back onto a wall where he’d pulled out his vibroblade with his right hand and a concussion grenade on his left hand.

He quickly armed the grenade and chucked it towards the Sith troopers, he heard the scream ‘grenade’ aloud followed by an explosion that knocked the Sith troopers unconscious. He peeped around the corner of the door and saw the Sith troopers were dizzy, he held his vibroblade firmly and charged in towards the Sith trooper on the right and delivered a hard chop to the head that knocked out the Sith trooper cold.

Then the other Sith trooper slightly shook his head out from his dizziness and saw the vicious Republic soldier before him. He quickly pointed his blaster rifle at him and fired two shots but Krurin had dodged both of them and quickly side kicked the Sith soldier on the chest plate then lashed out a flurry of vibroblade strikes on him. The Sith soldier soon died as he fell down on the floor before his opponents knees and gasped himself to the last breath.

Krurin walked up to the sealed cortosis door and was about to unlock it until he heard the sound of his communicator again had gone berserk on him, it was Carth naturally. Before Krurin had answered his communicator, he saw an equipment box behind him and unlocked it where he found some med pads, Republic credits and some computer and repair spikes. After he’d grabbed the extra equipment, he answered his communicator.

“Be careful, there is a whole squad of elite Sith troopers on the other side of that door in front of you,” Carth warned. “You have two alternatives here. You can overload the power conduit on that computer terminal beside you or do a quick repair on that assault droid to aid you.”

Krurin looked for the Assault droid that Carth had spoke of at first. It was hidden away inside a large grey bolted cabinet. He then examined the assault droid but he shook his head knowing that he doesn’t have much time on his hands to repair it, knowing that the Endar Spire could blow up at any moment since Bastila has already jumped ship.

The only alternative was the computer console that he saw beside the door. He quickly ran over to it and started tampering with the system. The determined Republic soldier quickly bypassed the main security systems using a computer spike where he’d managed to gain access to the security view camera on the other side.

He saw four golden Sith troopers with a red plated Sith trooper through the security camera. Krurin thought to himself for a moment as he’d looked at the power conduit behind one of the Sith troopers and smiled. He then quickly tampered with the controls and managed to produce an overload on the power conduit.

The computer console had brought Krurin back to the security camera view screen as he’d watched the spark from the power conduit began to overload. Then within minutes a fan of lightning had spread all over room and fried every Sith soldier in the room that knocked them out dead cold to the floor.

Krurin smiled as he’d unlocked the door and left the computer console. He’d walked over the fried carcases of the dead Sith soldiers, as he was about to open the escape pod door. He saw an interesting vibroblade beside the dead red Sith soldier and walked over and picked it up, then he heard the door in front of him opened. On the other side of that door was Carth Onasi standing there near the computer console.

“You made it just in the nick of time,” Carth cheered. “We have one escape pod left, come on.”

“How can I trust you sir?” Krurin asked.

“I’m a soldier of the Republic just like you,” Carth said persuasively. “We’re the last survivors of the Endar Spire, I’ll explain who I am to you later. Let’s get out of here.”

Carth quickly ran over to the last escape pod and hopped inside as Krurin packed his two vibroblades and followed the experienced Republic soldier inside in the escape pod. As Krurin had taken a seat inside the escape pod, Carth quickly pressed the button to close the door and initiated the escape pod launch sequence.

The small, tight and cramped bucket of bolts shaped like a tin can had detached itself from the Endar Spire and its booster rockets had fired where it moved the escape pod away in the nick of time as the remains of the Endar Spire created a loud explosion. The escape pod roared its way through to the planet of Taris from the blast, within minutes it had entered the planet’s atmosphere where it created a ere red, orangey fire ball glow wake as it roared to the planet’s surface.

“This is going to be rough, hang tight,” Carth shouted.

Krurin looked at Carth firmly as he’d covered his head and braced himself for impact. Soon the escape pod had made its way to the city of Taris where it made a loud thundering noise and the sound of a hundred explosions. The escape pod had landed on the planet’s surface, on impact, Krurin and Carth were tossed around inside the pod for a moment.

Carth slightly moaned as he’d opened his eyes and saw Krurin had been knocked out. He placed his right two fingers on Krurin’s neck and found a pulse still going, he had no time to think except ‘run’ and ‘hide’. He grabbed his blaster and dragged Krurin out of the pod as he’d kicked the door down.

The smoke covered the crash site as Carth exited the escape pod along with the unconscious Republic soldier. Carth then heard voices of people screaming and the sound of shock and despair as they’d come closer towards him. Carth quickly looked around on the other side and saw an apartment block not so far away, he then chucked any of the remaining smoke grenades he had inside his pocket and tossed them all in a path towards the apartment where he’d intended to cover his tracks.

As the smoke grenades had went off and covered their trail, Carth quickly grabbed Krurin and tossed him over his shoulders. Carth carried him across to the apartment. With all the commotion going all around, the crowd of people of Taris still were occupied with looking at the crash site without knowing there were any survivors onboard.

Within minutes a group of Sith troopers had roared down to the planet of Taris. The citizens saw the incoming Sith transports and started to panic and run, then the sound of Sith troopers had hustled out their transports and ran onto the streets where they’d placed themselves all over the streets of Taris.

High above the planet of Taris, the Sith flagship Leviathan was in orbit along with several other Sith warships and had formed themselves a blockade around the planet. Admiral Karath then had sent a rather more unpleasant demand to the Taris government where it informed them that Taris will be under Sith quarantine and no transports or ships were allowed to leave the system with the proper authorisation.

Meanwhile a further below the high city of Taris, the other escape pods had crash landed elsewhere. Deep into the bitter darkness hidden away from the Sith, one of the escape pods was Bastila’s. Bastila Shan had landed on the planet safely but she was exhausted from her use of her Battle Meditation that nearly took a toll on the Endar Spire’s crew lives.

Bastila woke up inside her escape pod and scratched her sore forehead. Shed placed her left hand on her hip to grab her lightsaber then shed realised it wasn’t there at her side. She thought it was there beside her, shed looked frantically all over the escape pod then shed heard some noises outside the escape pod, the sound of several people from a gang was approaching her.

Bastila desperately looked all over the escape pod for her Jedi weapon, the lightsaber but had no luck. Until someone had opened the escape pod! Bastila turned around and saw several scruffy gangsters that overwhelmed her, she hustled furiously as shed tried to knock them all off her. Then suddenly a male human had walked over behind her and sedated her cold, it was a gangster leader named Brejik.

Bastila then was taken to Brejik’s hide out for safe keeping until one day a swoop race will be held and whoever wins, the winner can take the Republic soldier as a prize of their own.

Despite the capture of Bastila held with a bunch a gangsters and smugglers, high above in the city of Taris. Carth had managed to find himself abandoned apartment and used it as their hide out. He placed Krurin on the bed and looked at him for a minute.

Then he quickly grabbed a small pouch of Republic credits and walked outside the room leaving his injured companion behind where he’d conducted an exploration of the place. Carth walked out the apartment block and noticed that most of the crowd were gone and saw several droids and Sith troopers on the streets.

“The Sith – no this can’t be good,” Carth muttered. “Wait a minute, this means that Bastila is still alive. The question is where to start.”

Carth looked all over the surface and saw no sign of Bastila but a thought had occurred to him where he saw a Sith trooper had been standing guard outside a particular entrance that led to the Lower City of Taris could be where Bastila had escaped to. He sighed and quickly returned back to the apartment where he grabbed some rasions and ate some to keep himself awake.

Later that day, Krurin was experiencing a dream. A vision from the Force where it showed Bastila was fighting against a dark Jedi then it had vanished. He tossed and turned repeatedly, where he’d found himself talking his sleep.

Meanwhile back onboard the Sith flagship Leviathan, Darth Malak was impressed that the Republic cruiser was destroyed. While Admiral Karath had been receiving several transmissions from the planet Taris that indicated evidence of some Republic escape pods had managed to land on the planet safely.

“Lord Malak, we have reports all over across Taris that some Republic escape pods were found on the planet’s surface,” Karath said firmly.

“What of Bastila? Has anyone found her yet?” Malak asked.

“No luck so far,” Karath frowned. “Perhaps she died on the Endar Spire?”

“Could have but I doubt it,” Malak snarled. “Bastila is a Jedi with some undoubtedly some great skills. Continue the search Admiral, I don’t care if our troops have to tear the city upside down to find her.”

“Perhaps I suggest an alternative measure Lord Malak,” Karath said softly.

“Make it quick,” Malak snapped.

“We could send in more troops,” Karath hesitated.

“I don’t care what you do to find Bastila,” Malak said abruptly. “Find Bastila and I want her captured alive. Do I make myself clear Admiral?”

“Perfectly Lord Malak,” Karath nodded.

A few days had passed until Krurin finally woke up from this erratic dream, Carth was up and about gathering some food as he walked inside through the door where he heard Krurin moaned in the background, Carth glanced at the wounded soldier and shook his head a little knowing that the crash landing on Taris had truly caused Krurin to go through a comma
