Outside the Jedi Academy, Bastila and Krurin stood there together at the entrance staring at the farmlands. Krurin reached for his communicator and contacted Carth over the com link, the prodigal knight felt someone was staring at him. He looked back and saw Bastila was snooping over at him again, he stared at her and raised his right eyebrow as he waited for Carth to arrive. “Bastila, I like to talk to you about the dream we had,” Krurin said promptly. “You do?” curiously said Bastila. “It was less of a dream and more of vision… a vision the two of us shared. But I am certainly willing to answer any questions the Jedi Council did not.” “What do you think Malak and Revan were doing in the ancient ruins anyway?” Krurin asked. “I mean… we saw Revan and Malak found some sort of map.” “I have no idea to be honest Krurin,” Bastila said flatly. “It was obviously important, however. That is why we must investigate this further and determine if what Revan and Malak were looking for, poses a threat to the Republic and possibly explain everything.” “Well I’m convinced,” Krurin nodded. “Are you wondering why we shared the vision? Or why we even received it in the first place?” curiously Bastila asked. “Isn’t it to do with my relationship with you?” Krurin teased. “I was referring to the vision Krurin,” Bastila smirked, crossing her arms. “I am a Jedi remember? We have responsibilities and I can’t let my feelings… no, I mean… your feelings…” “You are so cute when you get feisty,” Krurin laughed. “Darn it Krurin listen to me,” Bastila whinged. “Our fates are linked, and for two as strong as we are in the Force that amounts to a near-physical bond. The Force works as it will, and perhaps we should be grateful for what we have been given.” “But how did our fates become linked?” Krurin said confusingly. “It doesn’t make sense unless… some one was hurt badly and was touched physically by another Jedi.” “Perhaps, yet I don’t have an answer for you,” Bastila lied defensively. “Believe me, I certainly don’t find the prospect of being joined to you enjoyable in any fashion.” “Oh come on, I’m not that bad when you get to know me,” Krurin teased her. “Well yes I find you intriguing… no wait I mean I find you attractive, no I mean…” Bastila said nervously. “There you go again,” Krurin teased her. “You do find me attractive.” Bastila blushes nervously, the headstrong beautiful Jedi Council pupil tried to hide her emotions but through the bond link between them, Krurin and Bastila had experienced their emotions for each other as the pair slowly were drawn to the each other, lured to their powers and their undeniable passion for love. “Let’s get back to the task at hand,” Bastila blushed. “We really should return our thoughts to business anyway.” “Of course,” Krurin nodded. Suddenly Carth had emerged from the academy’s exit door. Carth saw Bastila and Krurin were waiting anxiously for him. Carth approached them and greeted Bastila and asked her questions about Krurin’s involvement with the Jedi Council but Bastila denied everything and told Carth he was strictly on a need to know basis. Carth sighed and walked up towards Krurin, Krurin looked at his friend and started walking out to the field with Bastila at his side. The prodigal knight glanced at Carth nervously as his Jedi instincts sensed how annoyed his companion was and look at him. “Carth, you have been quietly lately,” Krurin said firmly. “Have I been quiet? I suppose I have,” Carth admitted. “I guess I just don’t like being left out of the loop.” “I’m not the one leaving you out of the loop, Carth,” Krurin remarked, crossing her arms. “No? Well, you certainly aren’t helping matters any either, and it’s really starting to irritate me,” Carth said abruptly. “For one thing, I want to know what the Jedi Council said to you. They took you in there and refused to answer any my questions about it.” “That is none of your concern Carth,” Bastila interrupted rudely. “And you would do well to leave the matter be.” “I respect you Bastila, but you’ve been as close-mouthed as the rest of the Council,” Carth retorted, waving his left hand across that he pretended to be a Jedi Knight doing mind control. Bastila and Krurin rolled their eyes sarcastically. Bastila looked at Krurin and noticed that he had done the same thing as she did; she blushed and smiled at him while the redeemed Revan grinned at her. “If you won’t talk to me, then maybe somebody else will answer it,” Carth remarked. “Why should anything the Jedi do seem strange to you?” Krurin asked curiously. “I may not know enough about the Jedi, but I do know they aren’t famous for taking on old Padawans and sending them on dangerous assignments,” Carth pointed out. “I can only tell you that the Council said I’m vital for the mission,” Krurin replied. “Oh please…” Carth snarled. “Tell me the reason.” “They said there’s a bond between Bastila and myself, also I’m a strong individual that they believe I can stop Malak but we need to find the Star Maps first,” Krurin explained. “A bond? What kind of bond with Bastila? You mean to say that they told you, you were ‘tied’ to Bastila in some way?” Carth said confusingly. “I have trouble believing that and the Council said you can stop Malak which is good but weird, not to mention you have changed a lot.” “Carth…” Krurin frowned. “You’re a neophyte Padawan, or Jedi Knight who’s been saddled with the responsibility of tracking down these Star Maps. Why? That’s not normal!” Carth said abruptly. “Carth stop it,” Bastila demanded. “I’m not trying to provoke you or Bastila, nor imply that you’re somehow responsible for the Jedi Council… but cut some slack on me eh? There has to be a reason!” Carth said frantically. “Is this more of that destiny garbage that the Jedi keep blabbing on about? Well I’m sure that can’t be it.” “Okay…” Krurin said sarcastically, rolling his eyes. “I won’t tell you what the destiny garbage is then.” “I’ll tell you this much Krurin… I’m not going to wait around until I’m betrayed again,” Carth said abusively. “Fine,” Krurin snapped. “Shut up or leave!” “Fine, conversation over,” Carth argued. “Look I didn’t mean it that way… damned it. I want to get my revenge on Saul, not… no… no, forget that I said that. It seems all I can do is insult isn’t it? Just forget I said anything. Let’s just move on with what we were doing.” Krurin, Carth and Bastila ran through the fields of Dantooine where they ran towards the temple ruins that Revan and Malak discovered. Along the way, Bastila sensed the redeemed Revan’s mind started to gather more images of his past. The curious Jedi Knight reached out to the Force and scanned Krurin briefly where she noticed the presence of Revan started to come back rapidly. The pieces of the puzzled bottled up inside the real Revan’s mind was switched over and manifested itself. The memories of the fallen Prodigal Knight returned with an ability of knowing multiple alien dialects, cultures and historical backgrounds. The Force powers embedded inside him slowly grew and gave the Prodigal Knight with some new hidden powers. Within half an hour, they had reached the ruins far east of the Jedi Academy where Bastila and Krurin felt the great disturbance in the Force. The tremor darkened as the Jedi pair approached the door step of the ancient ruins. Krurin felt cold while Bastila shivered, Carth noticed his companions were reluctant at first but he soon stepped forward and led his Jedi companions inside. The black greyish door made out of volcanic sedimentary rock and crackled as in rubbed against each other where Krurin waved his right hand and the ancient ruin door slowly opened before them. Bastila stood there in amazement as she watched the redeemed Revan had remembered how to open the ancient ruins, the prideful Jedi Knight stood closely beside Krurin and looked at him nervously. Krurin averted his eyes slowly and firmly looked into Bastila’s blue eyes. Bastila noticed her companion stared into her eyes and waited for his response. “Stay with me Bastila,” Krurin comforted her. “I will… Krurin,” Bastila said nervously. “Are you two okay?” Carth interrupted. “Yes,” Krurin nodded firmly, he teased Bastila’s left hand as if he was holding onto her. Bastila jerked back slowly and felt a mixed reaction from the Prodigal Knight. Her heart pounded on her chest filled with excitement, love and compassion but the stubborn headstrong Jedi Knight refused to give into her feelings. Struggling with her emotions as she watched Krurin and Carth slowly walked inside to the darkness, the prideful Bastila Shan’s heart had fallen in love with the redeemed Revan. She followed them inside where the trio had found themselves inside a dark corridor with another door with the same style ahead of them. Krurin nervously stepped forward towards the second door and waved his right hand over the central of the ancient door. It opened; there a greyish mechanical droid with four legs, body shaped like a tea pot with a turret had already been activated and stood there on guard. The Prodigal Knight stared towards it, he felt Carth had raised his blaster pistols. He slowly glanced at him and held out his right hand at him, Carth noticed his companion stopped him and he lowered the blaster pistols slowly. Bastila slowly approached behind Krurin and stared at the droid. The mechanical droid spoke in a complex dialect at the three Republic wanderers. Krurin stared at the droid blank in the face, the memories of Revan manifested a lot quicker this time where somehow the wounded mind had automatically self triggered the fallen Dark Lord’s language database knowledge and the remembrance of this place. Bastila sensed Revan’s mind was almost healed completely and astonished the Prodigal Knight had regained so much of his memories in such little time, she stood there in fear, fearing that the reprogrammed Jedi Knight would discover his true identity as the former Dark Lord of the Sith. “What language was that? I don’t understand what you are trying to say,” Krurin said confusingly. The mechanical droid spoke in another dialect the second time where the redeemed Revan and Bastila both stared at each other puzzled. Carth scratched his head as he put his blaster pistol inside his pocket and looked at his friends. Krurin glanced at Carth and shrugged his shoulders while Bastila stood there puzzled, the three whispered softly where they tried to figure it out. Krurin glanced at the droid again and spoke firmly. “I’m sorry I still don’t understand,” Krurin said apologetically. “I think this droid is attempting to communicate with us in many other different types of languages,” Bastila said analytically. “Each time it spoke, it seemed to adjust to your voice.” “Interesting point Bastila,” Krurin remarked. Bastila smiled at Krurin, her eyes widen filled with happiness from the complimentary she had received. Suddenly the mechanical droid had spoken a peculiar dialect that sounded similar to the fish creatures on Manaan. Krurin, Carth and Bastila heard the similar dialect. The skilled Jedi Knights were able to decipher it more quickly than Carth. Carth watched Bastila and Krurin stared at the droid astonished at first. “Wait a sec, I recognise that!” Krurin exclaimed. “That is from Selkath origin, an old ancient dialect.” “I too recognise that,” Bastila said anxiously. “But why would a droid here on Dantooine be equipped with an ancient Selkath dialect from Manaan?” “Maybe it is something to do with communication abilities,” Krurin suggested. “Communication was vital to ensure that the slaves constructed this temple according to the wishes of the Builders but you are not any of the slave species or the Builders. You are like the one who came before,” the mechanical droid interrupted. “There’s your explanation,” Bastila pointed out. “Maybe you can find out more from the droid, it seems to understand you better than me.” “Revan and Malak,” Krurin muttered. “My thoughts exactly Krurin,” Bastila added. “The Dark Lord and Malak must have searched this place thoroughly and possibly activated this droid.” “Perhaps so,” Krurin said thoughtfully. “Are you some kind of guardian?” “Yes… the Builders programmed me to enforce disciplinary action among the slaves while this monument to the power of the Star Forge was constructed,” said the droid. “When the project was complete, all the slaves were terminated. I was reprogrammed to serve should a Builder return and search knowledge of the Star Forge.” “How long have you been here?” Krurin asked curiously. “My chronological database indicated I have marked over ten full revolutions of this system’s outermost planet around the sun since the Builders left,” said the droid. Krurin and Bastila both gasped as they’d couldn’t believe what the ancient droid had told them while Carth stood there confused and scratched his head staring at them. Through the intensive training that both Bastila and Krurin had gone through, they both remembered during their studies at the Academy that the before the Republic even existed, the galaxy was controlled predominately by the Hutts. Krurin looked at the ancient droid stunned and startled while Bastila whispered into Krurin’s ear. “Ten revolutions would take more than 20,000 years. If this is true, this droid is nearly 5,000 years older than the Republic itself! There must be some mistake,” Bastila said astonishingly. “No mistake. The Builders constructed my chronological circuitry using the technology of the Star Forge itself. My calculations are infallible,” said the droid. “What is the Star Forge exactly?” Krurin asked firmly. “The Star Forge is the glory of the Builders, the apex of their infinite empire. It is a machine capable of building anything designed as a tool of unstoppable conquest,” said the droid. “Like a factory?” Krurin remarked. The droid repeated the last previous response that it gave to Krurin and his companions. The Prodigal Knight turned to Bastila and frowned knowing that it was possible that the Dark Lord have altered the droid already, reprogrammed it not to give away the actual information they seek. Bastila soon sensed her bonded companion of the redeemed Revan had partially removed the message but the programmed Prodigal Knight was unable to retrieve it. “Looks like we came ourselves to a dead end,” Carth said firmly. “Could it be a factory or a weapons plant designed for that purpose?” Krurin asked, staring at Bastila. “Maybe…” Bastila said thoughtfully. “That might explain how the Sith were able to amass a fleet so quickly but my instincts tell me that the Star Forge is more powerful than a mere factory.” “Perhaps…” Krurin chided. “I’m curious to find out what the Star Forge really does do.” “I agree,” Bastila nodded. “Ask the droid about those Builders it keeps mentioning. It seems it has acknowledged you somehow.” “What are these Builders you keep mentioning?” Krurin questioned. “The Builders are the great legendary masters of the galaxy, the conquerors of all words, the rules of the infinite empire and the creators of the Star Forge,” said the droid. “I suspect that these Builders must have been extinct people, although there is no record of their existence,” Bastila remarked. “I would take punt that Revan and Malak had erased those files,” Krurin frowned. “Not even the Jedi Academy archives mentioned anything like this.” “Maybe so Krurin but remembered in the years before the Republic, the Hutts were in control in the galaxy but they never constructed an empire,” Bastila replied. “Despite that, I have no idea which species would fit with this information.” “The answer is out there somewhere, perhaps we need to explore further,” Carth interrupted. “Personally I doubt it was the Selkath, the Selkath are peace lovers and keep neutral. They have no desire for conquest.” “Carth’s right,” Krurin nodded. “However let’s find out what the Star Forge is.” “Agreed,” Bastila nodded firmly. “With the slaves gone, my purpose is to aid those who seek knowledge of the Star Forge… if you are worthy that is,” said the droid. “What must be done?” Krurin asked. “Revan and Malak, the ones who came before you, not Builders or slaves sought knowledge of the Star Forge and its origins. They proved themselves worthy,” said the droid. Suddenly the ceiling rumbled for a moment and a hatch flung wide open where a Jedi Knight corpse felled to the ground beside Krurin. The prodigal knight looked at the body and gulped where he saw the dead corpse of the old coot he spoke earlier from the Jedi enclave, the old man Nemo. Bastila looked at Nemo’s corpse and felt like puking but the well trained Jedi stood her ground and fought her emotions and calmed herself with the Jedi Code. “They discovered the secrets of the Star Forge locked beyond the sealed door behind me. But there was another who failed to unlock the secrets and perished,” said the droid. “The droid must be referring to the missing Jedi Knight, poor Nemo,” Bastila frowned. “The Council sent him here to investigate while you were training.” “Well let’s not leave his sacrifice be in vein,” Krurin said firmly. “We must find out the secrets to the Star Forge.” “But we even don’t know how to prove ourselves worthy,” Carth pointed out. Krurin nodded firmly knowing that Carth had made a valid point, Bastila glanced at her Jedi companion and waited promptly for his reaction. The Prodigal Knight looked at the ancient droid, knowing that everything was a stake as foretold by the Jedi Council. He stood there firmly with his lightsaber in his hand and questioned the droid. “How can I prove myself worthy to gain the secrets of the Star Forge?” Krurin questioned firmly. “Enter the two proving ground adjacent to us, east and west corridors. Within them those who understand the will of the Builders can unlock their secrets and gain access to the door behind him,” said the droid. “But those who fail will be crushed by the powers from this temple itself. I’m programmed not to say any further than this.” “Well then Krurin, Revan and Malak did unlocked the sealed door and uncovered the secrets of the Star Forge, we must do the same,” Bastila pointed out. “Don’t get me wrong Bastila but you make it sound like you want to overthrow Malak’s secret weapon and turn it against him,” Carth interjected. “No, I wouldn’t even consider it,” Bastila insisted. “With Malak now using the Star Forge to fuel his conquest of the Republic, he must be stop.” “Well let’s stop talking and action it,” Krurin snorted. “We have to unlock these doors and unravel this mystery of the Star Forge.” Bastila stood there shocked at the redeemed Revan’s tone of voice; she stared at him and felt the dark side taint slowly grew inside him. The presence of the dark side tested the impatience of Revan. Bastila stood there alarmed with the former Dark Lord’s mind started to corrupt the programmed Jedi’s mind, she reached out to the Force and tried to subdue it but the result was doomed to fail. Krurin walked over to the east door and walked inside the proving ground where he saw a control panel ahead of him. He walked over towards it and tapped in the controls. There was no response, Carth stood beside his companion and tried another method where he spoke to the control panel. There was a few ancient text appeared all scattered over the control panel, Bastila stood behind her two strong companions and observed them. Krurin stood there and thought through where he reached out to his Jedi instincts and tried to unravel the puzzle. Carth watched Krurin grabbed a datapad and inserted it through the control panel and spoke. The ancient text soon appeared in a sentence translated into the phrase, “Interrogative: Identify three primary life giving seed world types”. Carth stood there blank as he was unable to translate or read the encrypted text, Bastila looked over Krurin’s shoulder and tried deciphering the text but the headstrong Jedi Knight was unable to translate. She looked over at the redeemed Revan and watched him read the worlds in Ancient writing, she heard him mumbled the words and was astonished. Carth stared at Krurin firmly and was stunned by his companion’s sudden understanding. “You can read that writing Krurin?” curiously said Carth. “I can’t, it looks gibberish to me.” “Yes I can strangely,” Krurin muttered. “What does it say?” Bastila asked curiously. “It’s asking me to identify three primary life giving seed world types,” Krurin answered. “It has given me a list of multiple choices and I have to choose the right ones.” “Okay…” Carth said nervously. “But what happens if you answered wrong?” “Between us, I don’t want to know,” Krurin replied firmly. “Oh terrific,” Carth gulped. “Take your time Krurin,” Bastila encouraged him. The Prodigal Knight tampered with the controls and looked at the answers firmly, suddenly the wounded mind of Revan was healed with the memory loss regained back to normal and manifested itself greatly. The redeemed Revan looked at the answers thoroughly. One the control panel it displayed six answers, “Oceanic, Grassland, Desert, Volcanic, Arboreal and Barren”. Krurin raised his hands to the controls and slowly selected his answers nervously. “Grassland, Oceanic and Arboreal,” Krurin said firmly. The ancient computer displayed another screen with more encrypted Ancient text where the Prodigal Knight smiled at it and looked at his friends. Carth and Bastila nervously looked at their companion and watched him pulled out the datapad and walked slowly over towards the western proving ground. Carth looked at Bastila and shrugged his shoulders in confusion while Bastila glanced over at Krurin and watched the prideful Prodigal Knight walked ahead of them, the trio soon walked together through the west proving ground door where they were confronted with an ancient droid armed. “Well this could be a problem,” Krurin whispered softly, he ignited his green topaz lightsaber and stood on guard. “This must be the opposite side to the last bunch of questions,” Carth said firmly. “You could be right Carth,” Bastila nodded. “Krurin, we’ll distract the droid while you solve the puzzle on that computer.” Krurin nodded firmly, Bastila ignited her double bladed lightsaber and charged towards the droid while Carth pulled out his two blaster pistols and fired them at the droid firmly while the Prodigal Knight blitz towards the control panel. Krurin stood there firmly and inserted the control panel. The droid fired its blaster shots at Bastila while the skilled Jedi Knight deflected the bolts; one of the laser bolts was deflected towards the redeemed Revan. Bastila gasped as she’d tried to warn her adorable companion, the laser bolt narrowly missed Krurin, the Prodigal Knight jerked back and was given a fright. “What the -,” Krurin said frantically. “Sorry!” Bastila shouted. “Watch what you doing next time Bastila!” Krurin snarled. “Yeah,” Carth added. “I said I was sorry you jerk!” Bastila retorted. “Your face is scrunched up like a kath hound pup,” Krurin remarked. Carth chuckled in the background, he listened the two Jedi Knights argued with each other. Bastila was irritated with the redeemed Revan’s remark; she fought the droid and destroyed it within a minute. She walked over towards the Prodigal Knight with both her arms placed on her belt. Carth stood closely behind them and stood firmly on guard. “What? What did you say to me?” Bastila said abruptly. “You heard me,” Krurin told her. “Lighten up will you.” “Me lighten up? Listen to me mister I don’t want to be lectured from you on how I should act,” Bastila said firmly. “Bastila calm yourself down,” Krurin said abruptly. “Remember the Jedi Code, there is no emotion there is peace.” “Men…” Bastila sighed. “Bastila, trust me you don’t want to act like that,” Krurin said persuasively. “Let go of your emotions and try to focus on the task at hand.” “Your right of course,” Bastila frowned. “Now we should turn our minds into the matter anyway.” Krurin looked back over to the ancient computer desk and tapped in the controls, he spoke to the computer where it displayed more ancient text writing. Krurin watched it closely as he read the text aloud in his head, the mind of the former Dark Lord of the Sith soon woke up as another memory loss had come back to him. Bastila watched the redeemed Revan closely and was fascinated by his undeniable thoughts. The bond between her and the Prodigal Knight were strong, she looked at his face and stared at him momentarily. The curious Jedi Knight was attracted to the redeemed Revan’s power while the taint of the dark side still lurked inside him, Bastila kept her emotions of the redeemed Revan aside but her emotions of love and companionship kept over clouding her judgement. Krurin examined the ancient text firmly; he stood there and scratched his head for a moment where the computer had displayed a question. The Prodigal Knight reached out to the Force and used his Jedi instincts where he recalled that he learnt the topic of ‘death-giving’ seed worlds. He looked at the question firmly and was astonished that Carth was right in sense that it was the opposite effect. The ancient text showed the message, “Interrogative: Identify three death-giving seed world types.” The Prodigal Knight looked over the answers they were the same multiple choice question as before. “Desert, Volcanic and Barren,” Krurin said confidently. Suddenly the computer displayed the next screen where it mentioned the sealed door to the secrets of the Star Forge were ready for them. Krurin glanced at Bastila and Carth where he removed the datapad and walked over towards the ancient door behind the guardian droid. The weary redeemed Revan stared at the greyish black rock door and waved his right hand over the middle of the door. He stood there nervously with Bastila and Carth closely behind him where they all waited anxiously. Suddenly a blue force field shimmered for a moment and slowly the rocky ancient door opened. Bastila and Carth jerked back a little as they watched Krurin stepped forward and walked towards the black triangular pillar further down in the corridor, then the reluctant pair followed him. There was a short pause where Krurin stopped and stood in the middle of the corridor. The programmed Prodigal Knight had trouble focusing on the task, the wounded mind of Revan had regained consciousness with the memory of the Star Map and the blurred vision of the Star Forge. Through the bond, Bastila stood there and observed her companion Revan, reprogrammed and altered by the Jedi Council with the new identity as Krurin Masaror. Bastila gasped, she blocked her thoughts towards the Prodigal Knight as she’d witnessed the daunting memories of Revan showed the resemblance of the Star Map and a small vision of the Star Forge. She felt cold inside as the dark side loomed over her head and clouded the wilful and headstrong Jedi Knight. Carth looked at Krurin and Bastila where he noticed both were trembling slightly with the dark presence, Carth noticed Bastila was shaken. The concerned soldier touched Bastila and grabbed her attention, Bastila slightly jerked away and looked at Carth firmly where she told her concerned companion that she was alright, Carth nodded firmly and stood along side her. Krurin approached the black pillars where it opened a galactic map that showed the entire galaxy and its systems, along with a four other orange marked planets that glowed brightly. “This… this must be what Revan and Malak found when they entered this temple,” Bastila said nervously. “This must be where their journey down the dark side began.” “Are you sure about this Bastila? You don’t sound so confident,” Carth stated. “To be honest Carth I don’t know but I rather keep my mind open,” Bastila replied. “What do you think Krurin?” “I’m guessing it’s a map, like some sort of intergalactic navigational chart. Maybe this is the Star Map that the Dark Lord and his apprentice were looking for to find the Star Forge,” Krurin remarked. “Interesting,” Bastila smiled. “We could use this map to follow their path and find the Star Forge ourselves. But we must be wary… they may have laid traps or concealed what they found.” “One part still bothers me though,” Krurin frowned, staring at the Star Map. “What’s that Krurin?” curiously said Bastila, she stood beside Krurin firmly. Krurin stood there and examined the Star Map with the Force, he had found out that the Dark Lord had sealed his tracks but deeper inside the Prodigal Knight’s mind, the wounded mind of Revan had regained another memory of the Star Forge’s purpose and entity. Krurin stared at the Star Map startled with the dark side presence and rolled his eyes towards Bastila firmly, he placed his hands on Bastila’s right left wrist and looked into her eyes deeply. “The Star Forge itself. The droid only specifically told us what the purpose for was, a weapon of ‘conquest.’ Perhaps Revan and Malak were eager to use the Star Forge as a weapon to help turn the tide against the Mandalorian’s but something bothers me as to ‘what is the Star Forge designed for’ anyway,” Krurin said firmly. “That we don’t know, but Revan and Malak were very interested in finding it. It must be a tool of some type… or maybe a weapon. Perhaps the Council can tell us more,” Bastila replied flatly. Bastila walked over towards the Star Map and recognised some of the planets. She stood there firmly and looked at Krurin, Carth soon stood beside them both and watched Bastila explained the planets on the Star Map. “I think this map might be the key to finding the Star Forge, whatever it is. See this world here? This looks like Korriban, a Sith home world. And if that’s Korriban, then this is Kashyyyk… Tatooine and the Selkath home world of Manaan,” Bastila said firmly. “Unfortunately there are pieces missing: incomplete hyperspace co-ordinates, corrupted data… and there doesn’t seem to be anything indicating where the Star Forge actually is located.” “Perhaps Revan corrupted the data to cover their tracks,” Krurin pointed out. “Possible, yet maybe Revan found this the same way we did and visited the other Star Maps to find the Star Forge,” Bastila said flatly. “In that case, we should do the same,” Krurin nodded. “If Revan and Malak did visit those planets at least once, it shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.” “I was thinking that too,” Bastila smiled. “This map can’t take us to the Star Forge but I know that Revan and Malak visited Korriban at least once. Perhaps they discovered something more there.” There was a short silence. “They may have found something on each of the other worlds that completed this map. Maybe if we find all the pieces they will lead us to the Star Forge… and some way to destroy it,” Bastila explained. “That’s sounds like quite a supposition. What if you’re wrong?” Carth remarked. “What if Bastila’s right? We can’t ignore this. Finding the Star Forge might very well be the key to defeating the Dark Lord and the Sith altogether!” Krurin pointed out. “Nevertheless we must inform the Council of what we have discovered. They must decide our next course of action, though I suspect our new journey has only just begun,” Bastila said firmly. The three Republic heroes ran out the ancient temple ruins to the Dantooine plains, along the way the redeemed Prodigal Knight took Nemo’s Jedi robes and his lightsaber with him where he intended to make great use for it. Krurin led his companions behind him and took them back to the Jedi Academy, half an hour later the group had arrived outside the Jedi Academy enclave. Suddenly Bastila stood there in the middle of the Jedi enclave purposely she stared at the redeemed Revan, checking out his body. Krurin stopped and glanced back at Bastila where he recognised that Bastila was staring at him. He stood there and teased her, flirting with her for a moment. Bastila blushed nervously but her emotions for the redeemed Prodigal Knight had drawn his power to her. “Bastila?” curiously sand Krurin. “How can I help?” Bastila asked. “Is something bothering you?” Krurin asked curiously. “No, not bothering me. Well not exactly. I’ve thinking about what the Jedi Council said about the two of us,” Bastila replied. “Oh go on beautiful,” Krurin smiled. “Please Krurin, keep you head straight just for five minutes okay?” Bastila blushed. “Alright… you have my attention,” Krurin said firmly. “There is a bond between us, I do not dispute that. I can feel it, as I’m sure you can. The nature of that bond and its effect on our mission remain in question,” Bastila replied. “I think you are more interested than this ‘bond’ of ours,” Krurin chuckled. “Please! I’m a Jedi. Such feelings and attractions are… well, they’re beneath me quite frankly. I admit that I find you intriguing. Uh I mean that I find your command of the Force intriguing. But my interest in you is purely romantic… I mean academic. Surely you can understand why,” Bastila blushed. “You are so cute when you blush,” Krurin grinned. “You are so sexy… eh I mean, darn it Krurin, stop playing with my mind,” Bastila said frantically. “See there is no harm done?” Krurin remarked. “You were saying something about the bond with the Jedi Council. Doesn’t the bond mean my presence is necessary?” “Necessary perhaps, but it’s no guarantee of our success. I admit, I’m a little disturbed that such a bond could be possible in the first place,” Bastila said bluntly. “I see,” Krurin nodded.” “I saw your service records when you were transferred aboard the Endar Spire but nothing beyond that. I know very little about you,” Bastila lied. “I’d like to ask you some questions, given our relationship.” “Our relationship?” curiously said Krurin. “Is this some kind of clumsy come-on?” “Oh gosh Krurin you are so adorable… I mean… wait, Krurin please stop that, my feelings are none of your concern,” Bastila blurted. “Come on Bastila,” Krurin laughed. “Hit me with your questions.” “Don’t worry, these are simple questions. Nothing too intrusive,” Bastila said bluntly. “First what kind of background do you have?” “I was a Republic soldier,” Krurin answered. “Good,” Bastila smiled. “On which planet were you born?” “Deralia, it’s in a remote system. Why?” Krurin replied. “Excellent. Your current age is?” Bastila questioned. “Wasn’t this all mentioned in my service records?” Krurin asked curiously. “Yes well… The truth is I was studying how you responded to my questions,” Bastila admitted. “Your reactions help me judge you; this was a test for me to learn more about yourself.” “Oh? And what did you find out?” Krurin smiled. “You were honest, which is good. And you treated this is as a serious matter, which it is. This bond we share will shape both our destinies, it is not to be taken lightly,” Bastila replied. “But I imagine you’ve had enough question for a while. So many things have happened to you since Taris, it’s probably a lot for you to absorb. I would like to speak with you again later, after you’ve had time to think about all this.” “Sure,” Krurin smiled. Krurin led the group back inside the Jedi enclave where the trio made their way to the Jedi Council, with the successful completion of their first task.
