Meanwhile somewhere in the outer rim onboard the Sith flagship Leviathan, Admiral Saul Karath had been informed of a soul survivor from the planet Taris. It was a bounty hunter named Calo Nord, the cold and ruthless bounty hunter had an ambitious lust of revenge on Canderous and his partner. The bounty hunter was interrogated onboard the Sith Battleship named Avenger where Admiral Saul Karath confronted the bounty hunter up front with his elite guards. Inside the Avenger’s interrogation chamber, the enclosed bounty hunter was locked tightly onto a chair accompanied with a few elite Sith trooper guards. The door opened wide as the ruthless Admiral Karath approached the bounty hunter, he looked at the bounty’s dark black goggles and sat on the other side of the table. “Who are you bounty hunter?” Saul questioned. “Calo Nord,” Calo hissed. “You are lucky to survive from our bombardment Calo,” Saul smirked. “I’m hard to kill Admiral,” Calo snarled. “Well then, Calo… our interrogation officer’s say you saw who did this to you,” Saul remarked. “Tell us who.” The bounty hunter slowly pulled out a datapad that contained his description of the impostors. It contained a lengthy description of Canderous Order, a Mandalorian. Two Republic war heroes, the description of a Jedi Knight named Bastila and a built up soldier named Carth Onasi. Admiral Karath looked back at Calo and was intrigued by his description. “Carth, my young apprentice and a Republic Jedi war hero Bastila Shan,” Saul remarked. “Those two followed after the people who almost killed me,” Calo hissed. “Oh? Then it would be this Canderous fellow then,” Saul said curiously. “Unless there is another you haven’t told me yet bounty hunter.” “There is another,” Calo replied sharply. “Oh? Then who this person might be?” Saul asked curiously. “Provide me with a list of Republic war heroes, including Jedi, I might be able to identify my attacker,” Calo demanded. “Very well then,” Saul nodded. “I’ll provide you access to the Republic records that are most recently up to date on that computer console behind you. When you have acquired the information, let the guards know to summon me.” “As you wish Admiral,” Calo said flatly. Admiral Karath walked over to the computer and entered his authorisation code, there he looked back at the bounty hunter and nodded firmly. The ruthless Admiral walked away from the interrogation chamber and left the bounty hunter all alone with the Sith guards stood there and observed him. Two hours later, the bounty hunter Calo Nord had stumbled across to a Jedi file entitled ‘Revan’. The bounty hunter scratched his head and looked at the photo firmly, he stood up and looked back over his datapad and verified the photo. “So it was Revan, a Jedi war hero. Ha, and I was fortunate to survive him,” Calo smirked, the bounty hunter walked over to one of the guards. “Summon your superior officer; I’m ready to speak now.” The golden Sith trooper looked at him and nodded firmly, he reached out for his communicator and spoke with Admiral Karath directly via the com-link. Calo walked back over to the computer and stood there firmly. A few minutes later, Admiral Karath had returned back to the interrogation chamber and saw the bounty hunter staring into the screen; he walked over and saw a Republic file opened. “You have something to show me?” Saul said coldly. “This is my other attacker,” Calo pointed out. Saul glanced over the screen and saw the Jedi war hero Revan had been opened, the Admiral gasped a little and nervously looked at the bounty hunter stunned. The ruthless Admiral was led under the impression that Revan had been killed on his command ship by the Jedi Order but it did not appear to be so. Calo then handed the Admiral his datapad with the photo of Revan and the information appeared to be entitled under another name called Krurin Masaror. The Admiral looked at his guards and signalled all of them to leave him alone with the bounty hunter in private, he watched the guards leaved them and locked the door behind them. He walked over to Calo and pointed to the computer screen. “You sure it was Revan?” curiously said Saul firmly. “Dead certain,” Calo replied sharply. “But your datapad says the person’s name is Krurin Masaror but the photo of him looks so alike Revan,” Saul remarked. “Unless the Jedi Order wanted Revan to be under cover and the Republic still all think Revan is dead, how stupid the Jedi can be to hide the truth and more to the point does this person really know if he is Revan.” “Procrastination of the Jedi Order is always the same; they are a bunch of peacekeepers who talk too much and never action. Nevertheless, it got me intrigued that this file recorded on the Republic database indicated that Revan was a ruthless tyrant but this Krurin character is not like that, he’s too quiet and probably a peace loving person, kind and weak,” Calo remarked. “Yet I have seen him a great fighter in action and no doubtfully skilled.” “Well this Krurin character must be Revan, there is no other explanation,” Saul said firmly. “I will allow you to go free in exchange you help us capture Bastila Shan for Lord Malak and you might just get your chance to take your revenge on Revan and his companions.” “Very well Admiral I accept your offer,” Calo hissed. “I require an additional payment fee to get the job done.” “Name your price bounty hunter,” Saul said firmly. “Fifty thousand credits, no less,” Calo replied coldly. “That’s a hefty fee but it will do,” Saul remarked. “We will pay half of it now and the other half when you have done your job.” “Excellent Admiral,” Calo nodded. “Good. I have placed your belongings to my command ship the Leviathan, you will collect your gear from there and I will summon Lord Malak where we will tell him the news of your discovery,” Saul said firmly. “As you wish Admiral,” Calo nodded. Meanwhile back on Dantooine it was early in the morning, the redeemed Prodigal Knight Revan known as Krurin Masaror and his partner Bastila Shan woke up and left the Ebon Hawk, where the Jedi pair both ran to the Jedi Council conference room and explained their discovery to the Jedi Masters. Master Vandar, Vrook, Zhar and Dorak anxiously waited for their arrival. Within minutes they saw the Prodigal Knight Revan had entered the conference room with Bastila followed him at his side. “Ah you have returned Padawan,” Vandar smiled. “What did you and Bastila find in the temple?” “Bastila and I found an old ruin artefact called a Star Map, Master,” Krurin replied firmly. “Interesting, what else did you find?” Dorak interrupted. “We came across to two old ancient computers that questioned us to prove our loyalty to finding some sort of device called the Star Forge, we had to use the computers and past their test before gaining access to the Star Map,” Bastila explained. “Bastila and I concluded that with the information we found from there, Revan and Malak were indeed convinced to seek out this Star Forge,” Krurin added. “On this datapad, I have placed our findings into a report that might help you solve it. Bastila and I have concluded that we probably don’t know of a certain race that is little known to us.” “Or the possibility of them being extinct is another reason, a more advanced race that the Republic did not know about,” Dorak remarked. “Possibly corruptive data?” curiously said Zhar. “Yet inconclusive,” Vrook admitted. “Leave us to our deliberations Krurin and Bastila, you have done well. Return to your ship or wait for us in the Jedi enclave and we will summon you later,” Vandar ordered. “As you wish Master Vandar,” Krurin nodded; both he and Bastila bowed down and left the conference room. The Jedi Council members discussed with each other for several hours, Master Dorak had gone through the Jedi archives with the assistance of Master Zhar and Master Vrook while Master Vandar meditated in the corner and tried to consult with the Force but the weary Jedi Masters searched high and low with the information that Krurin and Bastila gathered. Master Vrook looked all the historical archives based before the Republic was founded but none were close to any of the redeemed Revan’s description. Master Dorak searched through several major races that had lust for greed, power and conquest yet none of them had matched closely to the Prodigal Knight’s report. Master Zhar looked over the historical findings of old artefacts but only a few were close to the timeline of ten revolutions. “Any luck Master Dorak?” Vrook asked. “No,” Dorak frowned. “What about you?” “No luck I’m afraid,” Vrook sighed. “Master Zhar?” “I look through over eight thousand different artefacts, only a few are believed to be nearly as old as ten revolutions but nothing is concrete,” Zhar replied. “Well that leaves to two possibilities then, either one; the archives are incomplete or two, the Republic or the other alien races have no knowledge about this alien race,” Dorak pointed out. “According the redeemed Revan’s report, he said it could be possible that the Dark Lord of the Sith had corrupted the data or the data was already incomplete leaving Revan and Malak to search for the Star Forge using the Star Map as their guide,” Vrook said firmly. “Much I regret saying this, I believe our wisdom and knowledge in the Force is diminished,” Zhar said flatly. “Not quite,” Dorak said firmly. “What do you mean?” Zhar asked. “We could use the redeemed Revan to find the Star Forge and make him destroy it to prove his loyalty to the Republic,” Dorak pointed out. “I for one disapprove of this, knowing Revan had fallen to the dark side once, what makes you so sure that he won’t do it again?” Vrook said abruptly. “We have little choice in the matter, Malak will eventually find out that his former master is still alive and will do anything to stop him,” Zhar pointed out. “Revan’s destiny might be on an all too familiar path,” Vrook said firmly. “We should let Revan decide,” Dorak said firmly. “Looks like we have spent most of the time trying to solve this and gained nothing, so with this Star Map discovered here in the runs. We should consider making Revan and Bastila go together and find the Star Forge.” “Bastila is young, yet headstrong. Too prideful as well, a dangerous problem if she is to be lured to the dark side,” Vrook said harshly. “Are we in an agreement that Revan and Bastila should go and find the Star Forge?” Dorak asked. “Yes,” replied Zhar. “Yes,” Vrook said reluctantly. The three Jedi Masters consulted with Master Vandar, after few more hours of deliberations. The Council had decided that it was good enough to take the risk and allowed Revan for his second chance. Outside in the Jedi enclave, Bastila and Krurin were exchanging their friendship with one another. The Jedi pair talked together over their past and get to know one another. Bastila’s feelings for the Prodigal Knight started to delude her a little, she had fallen in love with the redeemed Revan. Her emotions soon swelled around her with the wilful and headstrong Prodigal Knight stared at her for a moment. Krurin glanced at his partner and teased her greatly, he flirted and flattered Bastila periodically until a Jedi Knight had approached them. “Bastila and Krurin, the Jedi Council would like to see you now,” said Belaya firmly. Krurin and Bastila both strolled inside the conference room where they saw all the Jedi Council members stood there anxiously waiting for them. Bastila led Krurin towards the Jedi Council members and they stood at ease in front of the Council where they’d listened to the Council’s deliberations. “Bastila, Krurin, we appreciate your time for seeking out this Star Map,” said Master Vandar firmly. “We need you to do a further task.” “During our research, we’ve all searched the Jedi archives based on what you found and had come up with nothing,” Master Dorak explained. “There was no record of any race who built these Star Maps and the Star Forge, yet this remains inconclusive.” “Due to our deliberations, you Krurin and Bastila must undertake the same journey that Revan and Malak did to find the Star Forge,” Master Zhar added. “We believe that the Star Forge and these Star Maps were constructed by an extinct race that no one has discovered them, as to who they were and what their purpose was for,” Master Vrook commented. “Nevertheless whatever they were, this so called Star Forge must be a weapon of some sort designed for one purpose, ‘conquest’. Revan and Malak were heavily interested in this, both of them were ambitious to defeating the Sith and Mandalorian’s during their time but a lot has changed since then. With the stirring news of the Sith’s massive armada, this could be the reason of the Star Forge’s usage to supply the Sith’s war effort,” Master Dorak said firmly. “How can Malak be stopped if he has the Star Forge in his possession?” Krurin asked curiously. “Sending a large group of Jedi Knights with you would be highly risky and will grab Malak’s attention firmly,” Vandar remarked. “However the Dark Lord of the Sith will not expect a small size strike force to infiltrate the Star Forge and quell him, this would widen your chance of success.” “So who will be coming along?” Bastila interrupted. “You Bastila will accompany Krurin with this mission,” Vandar replied. “But -,” Bastila hesitated. “There will not be any excuses Bastila,” Vrook said abruptly. “This has already been decided.” “Who else will be coming along?” Krurin asked. “Juhani, the Cathar you saved from the grove in your Jedi training. Juhani had already fallen to the dark side once, she would be a useful asset to you for your journey ahead,” Master Vrook replied. “Also the crew members you currently have on the Ebon Hawk will accompany you as well. They all are pretty skilled for what you need, this would balance of not having a large Jedi strike force,” Vandar added. “We trust in your judgement Master Vandar,” Krurin nodded firmly. “You must leave at once,” Master Zhar insisted. “The time that you spent on Dantooine is well put into use, now it’s time for you Krurin to face your destiny together with Bastila and stop the Dark Lord of the Sith.” “Once you have found the Star Forge, contact the Republic fleet who is currently commandeered by Admiral Dodonna. She will then send in the entire Republic fleet and attack the Star Forge while you deal with Malak,” Vandar said firmly. “May the Force go with you.” Krurin and Bastila both bowed down at their Jedi Masters and left the conference room, where they’d walked inside the Ebon Hawk and consulted with the others that their journey had just begun. Juhani, the Cathar was greeted by Carth, Krurin and Bastila outside of the Ebon Hawk, where the crew soon was reacquainted. The young scoundrel Twi’lek Mission Vao sharpened her vibroblade while her wookie fury companion, Big Z, Zaalbar had cleaned up his bowcaster. The silver metallic droid T3M4 chirped away in the background while Canderous played a holographic game of shooting Sith soldiers with his blaster rifle. Carth looked at Krurin firmly, he watched his companion for the first time acted like a Republic officer and ordered him to head for Tatooine. Bastila stood beside Krurin and smiled at him firmly, Krurin glanced back at Bastila and smiled at her as the Ebon Hawk soon lifted into the air and left Dantooine in its wake. Meanwhile somewhere near the Star Forge, the Sith flagship Leviathan had arrived on the outskirts of the Star Forge. Admiral Saul Karath had sent a communiqué with his master where he waited on the Leviathan’s command deck so anxiously. The Dark Lord of the Sith hissed and snarled as he’d approached his trustworthy Admiral on the bridge, drawn away from the Star Forge just to speak with the Admiral face to face. Admiral Karath soon heard his master had made his appearance and stood firmly behind him; the Admiral turned around and greeted the Dark Lord. “Lord Malak, the Star Forge is operating at 200 percent efficiency, well beyond our expectations,” Karath greeted. “You summoned me Admiral? I hope you are not wasting your time,” Malak snarled. “I am more interested about the Jedi Bastila and her Battle Meditation. Have you learned how she’d escaped from Taris?” “Yes I have Lord Malak,” Karath nodded. The Admiral signalled the guard to send the bounty hunter Calo Nord to the command deck, the doors soon flung wide open. The Dark Lord of the Sith glanced at the door and watched a bounty hunter approached them, Calo stood firmly beside the Dark Lord and looked at the Admiral firmly. “Lord Malak, this is Calo Nord a bounty hunter who shared his information with us,” Karath introduced. “So what have you learned?” Malak demanded. “Bastila was aided by Carth Onasi, a well decorated Republic soldier war hero. During the Mandalorian Wars he served under my command and was honoured for his bravery,” Karath explained. “You know this man?” Malak asked. “Yes Lord Malak. Carth used to serve under me during the time I was serving the Republic. You could say I was his mentor,” Karath replied firmly. “Interesting, so you acquired this information from this bounty hunter?” Malak remarked. “Yes Lord Malak,” Karath nodded. “A soldier war hero and a Jedi – it’s a wonder how you survived the encounter,” Malak hissed. “I’m hard to kill Lord Malak,” Calo replied sharply. “Calo has agreed to capture Bastila for us, for a hefty fee of course but I’m sure he will get the job done,” Karath said firmly. “Bring her to me, alive if at all possible,” Malak snarled. “Ignore her companions, I just want the Jedi Bastila captured.” “Excuse me Lord Malak, forgive me. May we have a private audience away from the ears of our common soldiers?” Karath requested. “I trust you are not wasting my time,” Malak hissed. “You’ll be very interested to know what we have also found out,” Karath smiled. The Dark Lord of the Sith waved his hands in the air and deafened the ears of the common soldiers on the command deck. Calo Nord showed the Dark Lord what he found from Taris, there a photo of Krurin Masaror who liked like Revan had Malak gasped and most intrigued. “The bounty hunter Calo identified Revan was the third person who almost left him for dead on Taris,” Karath said firmly. “Calo has a score to settle with a mercenary named Canderous and apparently Revan was there with him.” “Krurin Masaror?” Malak said confusingly. “The Jedi must have provided a cover up to hide Revan’s death which this man is in fact my former master.” “We are investigating into the matter now,” Karath commented. “No I think Revan is still alive, just this person does not realise it,” Malak hissed. “Ha! The Jedi are fools of having the former Dark Lord of the Sith to cooperate with them. Revan will eventually kill them all.” “Yes perhaps so,” Karath chuckled. “What do you want done to him?” “Calo, bring Revan and Bastila together alive. I would like to deal with them personally,” Malak demanded. “As you wish Lord Malak,” Calo nodded. “No one should know that Revan is still alive Admiral, we should keep this between us,” Malak hissed. “This redeemed Revan might already know his true identity,” Karath remarked. “Perhaps, but I look forward to dealing with my old master again and possibly kill Revan if necessary,” Malak snarled. “Let me know if you have any word on Revan or Bastila.” “Yes Lord Malak,” Karath nodded. The Dark Lord of the Sith walked away and left the Leviathan’s command deck where he headed back to the Star Forge while the bounty hunter Calo Nord made his way towards a planet in the outer rim where scum and villainy dwelled well and the law had no limitations, the Hutts homeworld of Tatooine. Somewhere in the galaxy the Republic war heroes under the leadership of Krurin and Bastila, led the group to first planet they have chosen Tatooine where the Republic heroes expected their first journey to hunt the Star Forge began.
