The Ebon Hawk had taken itself in flight soaring through Dantooine’s atmosphere, Krurin had carefully selected his first choice planet, Tatooine. A day later had passed as Bastila, Krurin and Carth travelled with their companions to the planet Tatooine onboard the Ebon Hawk. Krurin, Carth and Bastila were all the helm of the Ebon Hawk as the rest of the crew members slept in their assigned cargo bed bunks. Carth then put the ship on autopilot and glanced at Bastila firmly in the distance. Bastila looked at Krurin for a second and then felt she had been watched by Carth.

“Carth, what is it?” Bastila asked curiously, her eyes shifted firmly on him.

“I’m curious on what this mission is about,” Carth said flatly.

“I’m sorry Carth but…” Bastila remarked.

“We are searching the Star Forge to stop Malak and the Sith,” Krurin interrupted.

“Krurin!” Bastila gasped with her eyes widened in shock.

“Interesting, but I won’t buy it,” Carth smirked, scratching his chin.

Krurin looked at Bastila firmly and raised his left eyebrow as he felt Bastila’s emotions were disgusted when he had exposed some of the information to Carth when he shouldn’t have. Bastila glared at Krurin and shook her head in disbelief wondering how to keep her Jedi apprentice, once was Revan from unfolding more of their plans.

“Krurin speaks the truth,” Bastila said anxiously. "We are still looking for clues as to why the Sith are still strong in their numbers."

“I think you both meant well, you just haven’t told me all the details yet,” Carth replied with his arms folded.

Krurin glanced at Carth and rolled his eyes sarcastically, he turned around and left the Ebon Hawk cockpit where the young Jedi Knight walked through the cylinder tangent corridors. His footsteps were silent as he walked through the Ebon Hawk communication’s arena, finding the fur ball Zaalbar laid on the floor with a low howling snore. Krurin stopped for a moment and stared at Zaalbar and smiled a little finding wookies snoring amusing.

Then the young Jedi Knight made his way to his bed bunk near the cargo hold and hoping on a bed bunk, laid his head on the soft pillow and slowly zonked himself out with a soft snore. Back at the helm, Bastila and Carth were in the middle of discussing their plans. Carth looks at Bastila a bit confused as he’d discussed the Jedi Council’s mission.

“Bastila I find this troubling that Krurin is a Jedi,” Carth remarked.

“The Jedi Council believes he is strong enough to take on Malak,” Bastila said firmly.

“Yeah right,” Carth said sarcastically rolled his eyes and folded his arms. “I find that hard to believe.”

“You must believe in the Jedi Council and what we are doing Carth, it’s for the benefit of the Republic,” Bastila remarked.

“Benefit for the Republic? What benefit?” Carth snorted. “All I find is Sith rampaging across the galaxy killing thousands of lives out there!”

“The Jedi Order is going to correct that Carth,” Bastila snapped.

“Yeah right,” Carth hissed.

“Carth you…” Bastila pleaded.

“Get out Bastila!” Carth shouted abruptly, pointing his finger to the corridor. “Spare me your Jedi wisdom. Give it to Krurin!”

“Fine be a stubborn flyboy,” Bastila snapped. “If you don’t want to listen, I’ll talk to a person who cares and that’s Krurin at least he has some respect for me.”

“Fine,” Carth snapped.

Bastila stomped out of the helm leaving Carth alone. Carth sits on his cockpit chair with his arms folded and shakes his head. He laid his head back on chair and tried to clear his thoughts with a glass of Montojino juice. Bastila walked down the corridor annoyed with Carth, she slowly walked through the communication’s arena where she saw Zaalbar asleep in the floor.

Bastila smiled slightly as she looked at the wookie finding amusing to listen the sound of a small wookie snore. She then walked to cargo hold and stood at the door staring at Krurin, she looked at the sleeping Jedi Knight who was Revan laid there sleeping quietly.

“He looks so handsome,” Bastila said thoughtfully to herself. “I like Revan… I mean Krurin.”

Krurin heard the sound of Revan had echoed through his head, the young Jedi Knight suddenly experienced a vision through the Force. A flashback of Darth Revan confronted Bastila Shan on the Dark Lord’s command ship. Bastila stood there and stared at Krurin where she felt the wounded fragile mind of Revan slowly healed itself at a more rapid pace and the strength of the Force increased as well.

“Amazing, his power…” Bastila smiled. “I admire him, I… love… no I can’t. It’s not allowed and I must be strong for him. He needs me.”

Krurin moans slightly as he slept whispering the word, “Bastila…” Bastila heard Krurin called out to her name and slowly walked up and stood beside him. She stared at him and observed the former Dark Lord of the Sith called out her name repeatedly. Bastila’s eyes widen as she felt Revan’s passion for her, she smiled at him for a brief moment and shook her head in disbelief.

Bastila then walks up to the bed bunk adjacent to Krurin and climbed up slowly where she laid her head on the bed bunk and slept quietly. The night progressed where another vision of the Force came at Bastila and Krurin, it was cold and another Star Map shined inside a dark cave. It was morning where Bastila slowly woke up panting heavily, she looked over at Krurin and sighed heavily. She climbed off the bed bunk slowly and tipped towed out of the room quietly where the prideful Jedi Knight made her way to the Ebon Hawk helm.

Carth was at the helm wide awake where he slowly glanced back at the corridor and found Bastila stood there firmly. The Republic soldier took a glance at Bastila and stared at her. Bastila slowly walked to her chair and stared at the hyperspace vortex then she slowly rolled her eyes at Carth and stared back at the helm of the Ebon Hawk with her arms folded.

“Carth, what’s our ETA to Tatooine?” Bastila asked curiously.

“Approximately an hour Bastila,” Carth replied calmly.

“Good. Prepare to make our landing in Anchorhead spaceport,” Bastila ordered.

“Sure Bastila but where’s Krurin?” Carth asked.

“Sleeping,” Bastila said it with a smile on her face as she looked at the galactic charts on the console in front of her. Her thoughts were still with Krurin as she could not help but think of him.

“Bastila are you telling me you have feelings for the guy?” Carth chuckled, teasing Bastila as he noticed Bastila was smiling about it.

“What are you talking about?” Bastila remarked, shifting her eyes on Carth with a guilty conscience look on her face.

“Bastila, you have that look on your face,” Carth teased.

“Oh come on,” Bastila blushed. “He’s a Jedi.”

Krurin slowly woke up from his sleep, his eyes slowly rolled open as he slowly walked out on cargo room. He shook his head for a moment, and walked slowly to the Ebon Hawk helm. Krurin arrived in the communication’s room and found Zaalbar awake, Juhani and Mission were chattering in the background. The droids HK47 and T3M4 were deactivated, while Canderous carved his vibroblade. Krurin continued to walk through the corridor and found Bastila and Carth were talking, he entered the room and stood firmly.

“I hope I wasn’t interrupting,” Krurin said firmly.

Bastila and Carth both looked at Krurin. “No not at all,” Carth replied.

“No. Actually I needed to see you about something,” Bastila remarked.

“Funny, I was going to say the same thing about the vision I had,” Krurin replied.

“How did you know I was going to ask you that?” Bastila gasped.

Krurin stood there and did not answer her. Carth looked at Krurin for a moment and looked at Bastila, he shrugged his shoulders. Krurin moved his left hand and signalled Carth to leave the helm, Carth glanced at Krurin and nodded slightly where the Republic soldier slowly walked out of the Ebon Hawk cockpit. Bastila looked at Krurin firmly and admired his control over Carth, the presence of Revan inspired but her feelings for him troubled her.

“Krurin you didn’t answer me before did you,” Bastila said softly.

“You were saying about the vision,” Krurin said formerly.

Bastila stood there with a stunned look of her face, she admired the former Dark Lord’s directness. She stared at Krurin blank in the face and shook her love thoughts and buried deeply behind her. Krurin glanced at Bastila with a smile on his face sensing Bastila’s sudden love emotions for him but it soon faded away on him. Krurin slowly walked to the helm and stared at the hyperspace vortex.

“The Force has given us another vision,” Bastila said calmly. “Like the one we shared on Dantooine. Did you see it?”

“Yes I did, it was dark and cold,” Krurin replied firmly. “Like as if it were is some cave.”

“Of course, strangely to admit that the Force is strong with us both,” Bastila said anxiously. “

Krurin shifted his eyes on Bastila and smiled at her, Bastila looked at Krurin’s eyes and smiled back at him. Krurin walked over towards Bastila and placed his right hand on Bastila’s left shoulder and produced a big grin on his face. Bastila’s eyes blinked at Krurin and smiled at her, finding herself stunned with her friend’s reaction.

Suddenly the Ebon Hawk’s nav computer beeped repeatedly at a high pitch where Carth heard it from the communication’s room. Carth ran back while Krurin and Bastila watched Carth hoped inside his command chair and manned the helm. Carth looked at the nav computer and smiled as he looked back at Bastila and Krurin.

“We are approaching Tatooine,” Carth said anxiously.

“Tatooine, old memories,” Bastila sighed.

“A desert wasteland, yet nothing more,” Krurin remarked.

“Biggest place for scum and bounty hunters,” Carth added.

“Controlled by the Hutts too,” Krurin replied. "Full of villans, Republic laws never touch here. An interesting rivalry place for the Jedi."

Bastila looked at Carth and the reprogrammed Revan smiling at them. She crossed her arms and looked at Krurin for a moment admiring him a little. The Jedi Knight soon realised she had feelings for him without realising that it would jeopardise the mission at hand.

Krurin looked at Bastila for a moment and sensed she was starring at him purposely, he smiled at her slightly before Carth walked passed him. Carth patted on Krurin’s left shoulder for a moment as Krurin averted his eyes on the Republic soldier and watched him left the helm without saying a word.

“That’s odd,” Krurin whispered.

“Come Krurin, I need you to help me on Tatooine and see if we can uncover this Star Map here,” Bastila said firmly.

“Hey Bastila I am willing to join you as always,” Krurin replied anxiously. “However I sense we are not alone here… it seems like we are being followed.”

“Krurin have I told you before to be mindful of your feelings?” Bastila asked curiously.

The reprogrammed Revan stood there for a moment and thought thoroughly reflecting upon his Jedi training. Krurin slowly recalled the teachings of Master Zhar and the knowledge obtained through the Jedi archives but failed to understand the concept of being mindful of his feelings.

“Are you referring to my feelings for you or the instincts I have on this mission?” Krurin remarked.

“Well both,” Bastila sighed. “However you seem to be more concerned about me though, why?”

“Perhaps I’m made to think that way or the Force guides me to you somehow,” Krurin shrugged.

“An honest answer, I like that,” Bastila smiled. “Although when you should be mindful of your feelings is kept on the mission at hand, any other thoughts should be well not taken aboard on this mission. Yet you spoke about feelings for me… we must… we must stay focus for the sake of the mission.”

“I understand Bastila,” Krurin sighed, frowning.

Bastila and Krurin slowly waked out of their ship leaving Carth Onasi behind but Juhani looked at his Jedi friends as the Cathar hurried over and approached them. Krurin looked at Bastila for a moment for guidance, Bastila slightly nodded her head at him agreeing with his decision. Krurin glanced at Juhani and accepted the Cathar to join in their part as Mission, Zaalbar and the T3 droid unit were left behind.

The small Jedi group emerged from the Ebon Hawk with Krurin leading his companions onto the dusty Anchorhead space port landing pad. A short yet young Czerka corp. humanoid male approached the redeemed Revan as Bastila and Juhani observed the spaceport. The Czerka corp. officer glanced at the redeemed Prodigal Knight and queried him.

“You there, traveller,” said the Czerka corp. officer firmly. “You have to pay for a toll on using this land strip.”

“Oh how much is the toll?” Krurin replied kindly, folding his arms.

“150 Republican credits sir,” answered the Czerka corp. officer anxiously.

Bastila and Juhani both stared at the Czerka corp. officer for a moment wondering if the young officer was ripping them off. Krurin soon senses his friends thoughts were debating about whether they should pay the toll or persuade him using the Force, convincing the officer to let them go. Krurin glanced at Bastila firmly and spoke with her through their bond for guidance.

<“Bastila, do we have enough of those credits?” Krurin asked through the bond telepathically.>

<“We do but see if you persuade him to lower the docking fee, the more you use your persuasion my friend. You will find that using persuasion helps you in your travels,” Bastila replied through the bond.>

Krurin nodded at Bastila as he looked away facing the Czerka corp. officer where he reached out to the Force to calm himself, at that same instant the redeemed Revan had touched his Jedi Mind Trick powers and used them to persuade the non-Jedi to meet his demands.

“You will lower the docking fee, free of charge,” Krurin said Force persuasively, waving his right hand with his index and middle finger joined together.

“You will not be charged for the docking fee sir,” the Czerka officer remarked.

Bastila and Juhani stood there with a smile on their face as the Czerka officer removed himself away from the area leaving the redeemed Prodigal Knight with his fellow Jedi companions alone. Bastila slowly walked up towards Krurin and whispered inside his right ear where the headstrong Jedi Knight felt Revan’s mind trick ability was against the Jedi Council for non-Jedi users.

“Krurin… one piece of advice,” Bastila whispered. “Not to use the Jedi mind trick so often, such thoughts could lead you to the dark side.”

“My apologies for ears dropping Bastila just then,” Juhani said calmly. “Krurin pay attention to Bastila’s advice, she is guiding you on the right path.”

“Thanks Juhani,” Bastila smiled. “So Krurin, do you understand?”

“Yes I do but I sense something not right here, like a corruption outside of Anchorhead,” Krurin remarked. “Somewhere out there in the sand.”

“I sense it as well,” Bastila nodded. “I think it’s because of that Star Map.”

“Yes I believe that is what I had sensed earlier,” Krurin nodded.

“I agree as well, I think the vision showed us a cave somewhere in the Dune Sea, it’s quite far from Anchorhead to travel by foot though,” Bastila replied.

“Perhaps we should use an alternative measure, like transports?” Krurin suggested.

“Perhaps but we can use Force Speed to get our way there much quicker,” Bastila pointed out.

“True,” Krurin nodded. “Alright we shall go on foot with Force Speed as our ally.”

“How old do you think the cave is Bastila?” Juhani interrupted.

“Remember Krurin to use the Force as your guide here, the sands of Tatooine are troublesome. Juhani, the caves would have been ten thousands of years in the past, now there is nothing but the howling emptiness of the Dune Sea,” Bastila remarked. “The Star Map itself though would likely have been in some kind of shelter to protect itself from sandstorms and dust.”

“That’s a sure way of explaining it,” Juhani nodded.

Krurin glanced around the spaceport for a moment wondering if the Sith were observing them, the redeemed Prodigal Knight soon sensed the hangar bay was clear except he felt a tremor in the Force nearby. He waited for the dark presence to move but it was still and silent. Bastila continued to explain her thoughts on the matter as Juhani and Krurin listened.

“I suspect there are many such caves and caverns hidden in the sands of the Dune Sea. The creatures of this world probably use them as their lairs as such,” Bastila continued. “No doubt things will become clearer once we discover the Star Map’s location.”

“I have to agree,” Krurin smiled. “Well let’s go and see what we can do here without making ourselves well known here.”

“Want to stay under cover Krurin eh?” Juhani remarked. “I agree that we should keep on a low profile.”

Bastila nodded and smiled at Krurin happily, the young Jedi Knight was being modest of the redeemed Revan’s judgment. She slowly started to respect him a lot as she watched Krurin walked away as the stubborn Jedi Knight developed feelings for him. Juhani followed Krurin as they exited the hangar bay.

The Jedi group soon stopped walking as a pale green Twi’lek approached Bastila Shan. Bastila soon noticed the Twi’lek was a former servant of her mother Helena, she gasped in shock and walked over towards her. Suddenly Krurin and Juhani had sensed Bastila had moved away from them and walked back to find Bastila consulting with the Twi’lek face to face, the two were speaking in the Twi’lek dialect that only Krurin could understand as Juhani listened.

“I wish they can speak the Republican ‘basic’ language,” Juhani sighed. “I forgot to learn all the Twi’lek dialects.”

“I guess we have to wait and see,” Krurin said softly.

Bastila soon watched the weary tired Twi’lek walked away for a moment and glanced behind with her Jedi instincts sensing Krurin was staring at her worriedly. Bastila turned around slowly and nodded slightly at the concerned Padawan and smiled. Juhani’s eyes glanced onto Bastila and blinked slightly.

“I sense your concern Krurin, I admire that thank you,” Bastila smiled.

“I’m baffled Bastila, I thought you were going to scold me for purposely staring at you,” Krurin said confusingly.

“No need to, I need to speak with you about something along the way,” Bastila sighed.

Krurin and Juhani both looked at each other watching Bastila had taken the lead instead of Krurin leading them. They ventured through the city of Anchorhead as they past smugglers, thugs and hunters along the way. Juhani soon sensed there was a Hunter workshop nearby as her heart sank.
